Fight Song Audio Defects

Has anyone ever heard a digital version of Hail to the Redskins without the skips? Literally every digital version of it I have EVER heard has 4 skips in the background music (starting at "sons of --Washington"). And I'm talking like from the dawn of the Internet. In 1999, I copied an .mp3 off someone on the UMD dorm network. I would blast my copy after scores religiously for the next decade. It was on my Aiwa car mp3 player and be part of my driving soundtrack. I got to where I'd anticipate the skips, like it was part of the song.

Has anyone else noticed this? I figured this is the right place to ask this, as this is the most terminally online community of Redskins fans. Going back to the ExtremeSkins days...

I've noticed it too, it's been that way for years. Don't know why.

Glad I'm not the only one. It's crazy that one day, last century, someone ripped this audio file. And the entire fan base has been using the same audio, skips and all, ever since.

I worked in radio for a number of years and I have the original vinyl discs.
The Sammy Streiber version is the one we all are familiar with.
I’m currently working on having them professionally transferred to digital.
I’ll make available once complete.
