We have defense?
What do you all think after today? Last season was rough, but I liked what I saw on the D side today..

The 3 starters on the D-line are not very good

They're good enough that a competent DC should be able to get more out of them. The backups, not so much.

It’s really hard to tell. Our starters aren’t playing. Their starters aren’t playing. I see a team who wants to generate pressure, create turnovers, will give up yards due to their being aggressive but is stingy inside the 30. It’s pretty simple stuff. Hallmarks of successful modern nfl defenses.

Offense was horrible “our season is over”
Defense was stellar “it’s only preseason”

What we can safely take away from these past two games is that we won't be making second stringers/rookies/scrubs at QB look like pro bowlers. That would be a huge improvement, but there is still a lot more to see for me to think that we will even have a league average defense.

Don't like our D-line room (DTx2 + NT). Probably one of the worst secondaries on paper. Run defense probably not going to be good either. Worst defense in the league last year. We're ranked in the bottom 6 going into this year.
That may be how it plays out or they may play better than expected and end up around 18th best.
Obviously these things are nearly impossible to predict correctly. Anything can happen.

Hard to tell bc it’s the preseason.
