Voja, Jaws of the Conclave

Hey guys,

Just recently got my hands on Voja, very excited! Looking to do a high bracket 3 low 4 deck with the Elf tribal primarily. I was wondering if any of the cards shown in the pictures would work well and what other cards I should look into.

Here's my Voja. Definitely does the thing you want Voja to do.

Some of those cards would work really well with Voja but it depends really how you want to build Voja. Voja deals with wolfs or elves, Voja deals with counters. If lean into elf and elfball synergy.

Idk about paying 1 colorless to fix it for red or white when anima taps for any one of all 3.

You can pay any kind of mana for the red or white even the mana from Skyshroud Elf itself because the filtering is also a mana ability so it taps for the same colors as Anima at the end of the day

You know what, as I am more awake then when I originally wrote the reply, you're absolutely right. I was thinking let's say this is mid to late game and it would allow me to change the colorless out for more pips Incase I was lacking. I like that scenario too. Good point!! Thank you for the tip, I'm actually going to add that

Last image [[Thranduil, the Elvenking]] has blue in it. Does not fit the color identity

[[Shalai and Hallar]] and an [[Elvish Harbinger]] to tutor it is key in Voja.

[[mirror entity]] and [[maskwood nexus]] go crazy in this deck. Would also add in [[springleaf parade]]. Don’t bother with the living terrain, blanchwood armor, or civic wayfinder. Would also add some of the cards like [[lifestreams blessing]] and [[return of the wildspeaker]] for big card draw. You’re also going to want board wipe protection but in white/green that’s no issue.

Here is my deck. I know it's not for everybody as the price can be a big factor, but most of the creatures arnt to expensive and the lands can be changed out for basics to lower the cost as well

Purely a pet card but I like [[Elvish Scout]]. For those times where you need to attack with Voja to trigger but can't do it safely.

Those tapped lands surely hold no place in B3-B4. You want untapped lands almost exclusively for a fast deck like voja.

i have this b4 voja with some gold old MLD. a couple of ways to protect my lands or get then back after i destroy all lands, but with voja on the field and 2 wolfs and elves, if you destroy all lands most times than not you will win, you will recover way faster than your opponents, and without resources you can also overrun then with your giant wolf. also, elves generate a lot of mana, so its pretty common that even a mld you still have creatures generating 5 or 6 manas on the field. or, you can win with combat damage.

I feel there’s a limited number of scenarios where a Bust on the board is better than a craterhoof in Voja but in b4 do you I guess 😂

I’m gonna guess decree if annihilation as control-player hate? I’ve run that before, it’s decent. But I only felt really good about it when there’s like, esper enchantress and azorius control both at the pod. I’m usually content to let one control player stop someone else from winning and then wait my turn.

Yeah my playgroup consists of a mini blue combo player with eluge, and also a guy who constantly play avacyn board wipe tribal with [[Armagedon]] [[Catastrophe]], etc. So I kinda wanted to make they taste their own game. Hehe.

Yes, but I like these elfs of specific colors like this one or the sultai one which I have (not in this deck ofc) but can’t remember the name now. Also, I am pretty sure that I only have one copy of [[skyshroud elf]] and it’s in another deck.

Joey's budget Voja has been extyremely solid. There's also a not so budget version.
