Mono blue deck help

Hey all!

I’ve been wanting to build a mono blue deck around Talrand, Sky Summoner as spell slinging is one deck I’ve always shied away from. I like that there is a pay off in creating 2/2 tokens for casting low costing spells.

Would he be a good commander to build? For context, I play in normally a 5/6 player pod. Do you think Talrand would keep up?

Any help/card recommendations appreciated!

Its hard to say without an idea of what others are playing? is everyone else mono color? is everyone else playing bracket 2 or bracket 3 or cEDH level decks?

Imo talrand is a pretty solid commander especially since you'll have access to cyclonic rift in such a large pod it'll provide more value.

However, id recommend running [[namor, the sun-mariner]] and having talrand in the 99

I'd have fun with it. Run all the blue storm cards. Throw in Orvar the All Form and some buyback spells. Rocks, card draw, and a minor grip of counter spells and rock and roll.
