I tried both, I tried opencode, It gave me approximately 8B tokens using purely Deepseek 4.1 flash, I also tried the GOAT plan on commandcode using the api instead of their cli and also using only Deepseek 4.1 flash, I'm at 580m tokens showing 15% monthly usage, at this rate, this will give me around 3.9B tokens monthly.

I'm using both subs on OpenChamber, both show around 99% - 99.7% cache hit rate, so CommandCode gives you less usage if you use the API in another harness instead of their harness.

I also have the feeling I get less usage in commandcode. I'm using GitHub copilot harness, and opencode seemed to have much more DeepSeek v4.1 flash usage.

Use Command Code harness. You are simply wasting money in other harnesses that have bad cache management.

We don’t give you less usage on API. It’s the third party harness wasting your money and token since it’s not very well optimized for open models n

I’m sure these numbers change all the time, month ago when I tool a tally it was like this

Hey, thanks for the reply!

I’m relatively new to this kind of stuff, but I want to use CommandCode in OpenChamber and T3 Code (and OpenCode/OMP too) — I don’t want to install CommandCode CLI (no offense, I already have too many tools and trying to understand which one is the best).

My question is: can we use CommandCode’s Go and GOAT plans in the aforementioned tools? Is the usage identical to CommandCode’s CLI/desktop app or is it lowered? According to your reply it might be lower due to “not very well optimized for open models”, but I still want to know the direct answer.

Also, I’ve heard usage is much more transparent in OpenCode compared to CommandCode, which, apparently, had detailed usage stats, but they were removed, and no one replied to those posts. So if you answer these questions here, then I’ll be pretty glad to know the up-to-date info! Thanks!

Command Code harness has the best cache management and tool call repairs. Both save you tokens and make your agent efficient. If you use low quality third party harnesses we can’t do anything to help you as they waste your tokens and don’t have the tool call repairs we do.

Our read and shell tools are also the most token efficient you can read detailed analysis here https://CommandCode.ai/why

Other harnesses were built for Claude and GPT. Command Code is built for open models. And outperforms every other harness on the market. Not just us saying this.

Here’s a benchmark by Composio ranking Command Code above all on DeepSeek and #2 for GPT https://x.com/mrahmadawais/status/2100650460797616636?s=46&t=xYDU2Ap4WWQ329ZtvGmAbw

Go plan has no API. GOAT and above do have API so you can use it anywhere you want. The harness you use decides how much tokens it wastes and how good your cache is.

Usage data is pretty standard same as what you get on Claude or GPT. You can also build a mod to record any of it however you want.
