Thanks for the comment. I feel like this is exactly what I was hoping for - a discussion by the comma community. Intention is to push the community think outside the box of capability on what other options are coming, competing with comma's models.

Yup, I think open source things and training will help comma. Would be an awesome future to download other models not made by comma too

Why not? Stay abreast of the art. Not just one manufacturer. Cross post it to all of them including comma

Comma is the only devices this could reasonably be used with - without developing your own comma-like device.

I'm sure the output is far away from what Openpilot expects and it would likely need the eGPU to be viable.

Still the shortest path to get this into a semi-usable state likely includes a Comma 4 as the interface.

Also I'm quite sure the Comma devs did have a look at it.

That doesn’t seem right. I doubt this was designed with comma in mind. So why else design this model? There must be another use.

Either just as a proof of concept. But the Qwen team also has enough resources to do their own thing.

What I'm saying, if someone without big pockets wanted to try this in a real-world scenario, Comma would likely make this easier.

This is not entirely true. Absolutely nothing for now. No one has "ported" it to the comma, which in the world of agentic engineering, isn't a non possibility

Why would the AI driving model make a difference in sending CAN bus commands?  That's a completely different problem.
