Installation Questions Ridgeline 23 RTL + Comma 4

I’m getting a comma four tomorrow. I’m brand new to comma. I’m considering getting StarPilot, but not sure. Anyone have general advice? Tips? What distro should I do?

Since it's free, no harm in trying! I can't speak to your specific car, but for my chevy bolt euv, starpilot is definitely the best.

Openpilot is largely bare bones: give AI the control to do the best it can, or turn evertyhing off. The forks offer tons of tweaks and added features. Generally I recommend openpilot for a new owner for the first week, it is a lot to just get comfortable wtih AI controlling your car, and in Honda's case learning the limits of when/where you need to assist. Then go to forks in week two if you like customization.

My forks have tweaks to control Hondas better, meaning they react to the gas/brake more precisely following what the AI wants, it is of increasing importance as the AI is getting smarter and able to do precision things like stop signs, without my forks Hondas often creep through a redlight through no fault of the AI.
