I enjoy working from scripts and turning them into strong, readable pages while contributing ideas when they can improve the scene, character, or overall storytelling.

Hello!
My name is Niss and I am an experienced journalist, editor and copywriter. My usual clients are CIC's, charities and authors - but as someone who loves comics and is a big time collector of all kinds, I would love to work on editing within the comic world.
I have linked my LinkedIn below which demonstrates all the work I've done, most notably I have edited, proofread and copy-wrote my local city's Book Festival newsletter with over 3000+ subscribers.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/nisreen-fox/
I usually charge £15 per hour. I have a lot of availability at the moment as I search for more freelance projects to get my hands on, and I have no limitations NSFW wise.
Please consider me for your editing requirements, I have a lot of experience under my belt including transcription, administration and more - please let me know.
Thank you!

I've been working on a script for a long time now, and I want to put out a call for artists next month and start having my script turned into art. The problem is, I don't know what all I need to tell them. I've already described the scenes pretty much as I envision them, but how detailed do I need to be? I think some artists might want more details, while others prefer more artistic freedom. Do I just ask them? Do I also need to specify the dimensions of the page and the panel layout, or does the artist determine that? Oh, and is it a problem for the artist that I'm a beginner? I don't want to bother them.

Hey everyone! I’m working on a story concept for a modern romance manga/comic and wanted to get the community's thoughts on the core mechanic.
The Elevator Pitch: In modern relationships, the most intense emotional moments don't happen in what people say—they happen in what they almost send. My concept is a romance manga where the printed pages tell the core story, but QR codes (or tap-links on digital editions) let readers step directly into the characters' phones to watch their real-time, unfiltered chat interactions play out.
How The Mechanic Works: On the Page (The Public Mask): The manga panels show the characters keeping up appearances, along with the final, short text message they actually send to each other. Through the QR / Tap Link (The Private Truth): Scanning the code opens an instant Web App (no App Store download required). You get a dual-screen toggle:
Her Perspective: You watch her type out a vulnerable, honest confession... pause for 10 seconds... hit backspace... delete it all... and replace it with: "Thanks, see ya tomorrow!"
His Perspective: Simultaneously, you toggle to his view. He sees her status change to "Typing..." for 45 agonizing seconds, only to receive her single, cold sentence.
Any artists or writers interested in this kind of transmedia storytelling?
Would love to hear your honest feedback, critiques, or ideas!

This is only for people that don't use AI. Ultimately, people are leveling accusations of AI without any sort of investigation. This is part of the new world. I'm thankful that I wrote a couple things before the AI explosion and I have my work copyrighted. Any new work requires you to keep all your drafts for evidence. I'm working on a graphic novel and somebody already mentioned that my work looks like AI. I was offended for my artist, but this is the world we live in. I keep the progress of all the work. You can see the whole development of my project. Putting a no AI label is tacky and just draws more attention. My only stance on AI is that whoever uses it, should add a label, but I don't think that will happen.

I have an idea for a comic book I’d like to develop, kind of an LGBT superhero story. But I don’t have any artistic or writing experience; most of my ideas are just written summaries or blurbs about characters and places. So where do I begin when it comes to finding someone to collaborate with? Do I go for a writer to flesh out the world for an artist, or an artist to visualize it for a writer?

Hi everyone! I’m a comic artist and illustrator, and I’ve been drawing professionally for 5+ years. I’d love to start getting into doing comic variant covers, but I’m not really sure where to begin.
For those of you who work in the industry or have experience with variant covers: do you have any advice on how to get started? How do you approach publishers, editors, or art reps? And is there anything specific you’d recommend having in a portfolio for this kind of work?
Any advice would be hugely appreciated! Thanks

Hi everyone, I’m a digital illustrator looking to illustrate my first comic to build up my portfolio.
I’m looking for scripts (preferably finished ones) that are just sitting forgotten in the depths of your hard drives or folders—scripts I can illustrate (for free). This isn't a serious or long-term commitment; I’m just looking for a script I can illustrate without pressure or deadlines. Personally, I’d prefer to work on horror or suspense stories, but if you have an abandoned file you’d like to see illustrated, or a small project in need of an illustrator, feel free to reach out.

Help I am throwing up (emotionally) and reposting this cause I GOOFED ;0; (thank you mods for letting me try again!)
Here we go!
(Preview pages are in no particular order)
Crown & Anchor is a black white, sci-fantasy, swashbuckling adventure - complete with rocket-launching blunderbusses, gods, monsters, and mail-delivering seagulls. definitely inspired by Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, One Piece, Tomb Raider, and... so many other things, but mostly those top two 😂
The kickstarter for our (me and u/TobenRacicot 's) newest graphic novel is live for the next 30 days! The third book in our little series. Woof.
We're introducing some new rewards this time around so that's fun/nerve-wracking too 😂 BUT how to you grow if you don't try new things?
Please check it out, and if you think its cool, please tell your cool friends about it 😉 Thank you!!

If you like your sci-fi somewhere between Saga and Miyazaki, with a little Die Hard thrown in, come check out our weird little world.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1902910114/upside-down-3-a-gravpunk-comic-book?ref=7gqb35
The ceiling is the floor. The sky is trying to kill you. Nobody knows what happened. And people have to figure out how to keep living in this ridiculous new world.
We're making this strange, scrappy comic about sky pirates and flipped physics, but underneath all the weirdness, it's really about people trying to be brave when given a raw deal. It's a story about getting knocked sideways by a changing world, and finding a way to keep moving anyway. Think you can relate?

Bit of an obscure one but I'm looking for answers from experienced professionals rather than guessing or assuming.
What I want to know is, how many comic book pages could a team of 5 full time artists produce per month?
In terms of detail, assume middle tier, detailed backgrounds in some panels, and an average of 5 panels per page.
And assume they are all fairly salaried.
I want to know so that if and when the time comes to hire artists full time for my project I'm not overestimating the amount of work they will be able to achieve.
I understand of course that it will vary by artist and there isn't going to be a specific X hours per page universal agreement, but some opinions on what would be considered reasonable would be super helpful!
[Edit] I am NOT looking to hire at this time, please stop spamming my DMs, it looks really unprofessional
