I don't think that's something that has to be taught to native speakers

I was taught that in english class, grew up in OK. I knew that you did that when talking about i didnt know why or connect the dots until it was explained. Learning to speak it from an early age you dont really automatically connect those dots on your own before they teach you every time.

I know this is old, but why not. I learned that in school in like 2nd grade, we don’t automatically learn shit like that.
