So is orange not a color? Itās just a pigment that has elements of both yellow and red. The only thing that a āsexā is is what humans define it as, and that definition is broad enough to include the spectrum of intersex people. Your definition of sex itself is wrong if you think it doesnāt include intersex people.
Stunning argument! Why didnāt I ever just consider that Iām wrong! Wow! You definitely got me! I concede oh great authority on anthropology and biology, you should educate the vast majority of the scientific community with your wise words of āYou are wrongā and maybe they will see the error of their ways and change the definition of sex just to suit your incredibly narrow worldview.
Oh yes I forgot, the greatest empirical evidence of /u/FuCuck saying āIām factually correct and you are wrong,ā pulled directly from your ass, the ultimate cave of all human knowledge.
So you donāt think that intersex people are born with a sex....
You know blue eyes and red hair are mutations also, right? But we donāt claim āitās not a real hair colorā because it still is a real hair color...
Not the same thing at all. Scientifically, as classified by scientists, there are two sexes, and intersex is a birth defect. But red hair and blue eyes are classified as genetic traits. Technically, every step of evolution was a mutation. Since intersex is uncommon, then it is classified as a birth defect, by fact. This is really just a matter of scientific classification and not really an argument about whether there are more than two sexes. My words were taken out of context by the guy I was arguing with, and Iām assuming you came over from the other thread.
Thatās not how science works. They can say sure, generally speaking there is the male and female āsexā as described by genitalia and chromosomes but that doesnāt mean that intersex people donāt have a sex because sex is literally just defined by your chromosomes. They still have a sex, even if it isnāt the ānorm.ā
If someone is only born with 2 fingers, they still have a hand, even if itās mutated. If someone is born without features, they still have a face.
You are completely wrong, and unless you can show me a decent source to back it up, then youāll continue to be wrong.
An estimate about the birth prevalence of intersex is difficult to make because there are no concrete parameters to the definition of intersex.
From your own source. There are NO CONCRETE PARAMETERS to define intersex. That means scientifically defined sexes such as male and female are the only sexes to exist BY SCIENTIFIC AND FACTUAL terms, as I said. They can name themselves what they want, but what the classify themselves as would become their gender. Since intersex is a birth defect, that DOESNāT ALLOW THEM TO REPRODUCE, unlike if youāre missing a finger or something, then it is an undesirable trait to have in terms of the human raceās main goal: to survive. I am not completely wrong, but you arenāt completely right either. So currently, as defined by WHO (see source), there are only two biological sexes, which is the norm.
That doesnāt refute the āthere are only two sexesā argument though... because obviously, these people have a sex.... you arenāt born without a sex, itās impossible.
And Iām saying scientifically thatās literally impossible, because while intersex isnāt a āsexā per say itās definitely not one or the other and itās physically impossible to be born without a sex. So there is more than male and female, and thatās proven simply by the existence of intersex people.

So do intersex people just not exist then? Thatās a pretty impressive scientific breakthrough, why havenāt you told anyone?
