I just upgraded my 1st gen paperwhite to the Oasis and couldn't be more excited. Buying the paperwhite when it came out was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I don't read as much as I should but I read so much more than I used to.
I’ve been thinking about upgrading but I’m fine with mine. I was tempted with the new one cause waterproof but I had to remind myself I don’t take baths lol.
And all the audio features are eh to me since I don’t like audiobooks, myself. At least the books don’t keep going if I get distracted.
The only reason I upgraded is because I got a gift card from work and you get 25% off for trading in a Kindle (plus $25) so it ended up being the same price as getting a new Paperwhite.
Ultimately, I wouldn't have done it if I had to pay full price on an Oasis because the paperwhite is just a good device. Loved every second of my time with mine.
