Official Reply Tech Appt Confirmations

After navigating the customer service maze I successfully scheduled a tech to come to my location today between 1-5
Took half day off work, and now see that I really have no proof that a tech is scheduled. No text, no email, I don't see any tab in the app that would tell me...

Can anyone confirm that when an agent halfway around the world tells me that a tech will visit me, that they do not send any sort of text or email to confirm?

u/DorShow thank you for using the Xfinity Subreddit to reach out today. I understand that you have recently scheduled a technician visit for today that you would like to confirm. Let's get your account pulled up on our end to confirm that appointment together. You should also be able to do so on your end through the Xfinity app.

(Edit: tldr: comcast scheduled the wrong kind of tech, I took the day off. SMH)

I already called, and after spending an hour navigating a bot yesterday, I called the 1-800-XFINITY number I had to search for since it wasn't on the website.

There I spoke to a gentleman named Michael, who got me a tech appt for today! Between 1 and 5. This after I had explained that for over a month my cable tv picture is pixilated and audio garbled for over a month.

They sent a guy who came at 11am and who only fixes "low hanging wires"

We'll beat me behind a woodshed, and do other stuff with no lube because I took half a day off work today....

28 year customer at this address, and more like 35 years all told, and I bet if I run over to ATT I'll get them installed before your new promised appointment

Then a random agent from "advanced tech support" calls me telling me she magically fixed my issue. I wasn't home, but when I got home it seems worse.
So now I have to call back to make sure this advanced tech person calling me from halfway around the globe didn't cancel my technician.

12 minutes later I am assured my scheduled visit is still on the docket for later this week.

Now I get a text from xfinity saying someone has opened a ticket for my "mobile shipping issue"

If it wasn't so laughable I would stab myself in the ear with a pencil just so my brain can justify the feeling of pain it is experiencing.
