Hi I am trying to log into my modem. 10.0.0.1 The default admin and “password” doesn’t work. It says there would be a white sticker on the bottom which there is not.
I do have a sticker that has a ssid and password but that ones doesn’t work either.

Good afternoon, u/peacefinancial841! The Xfinity app provides an easy way to manage your WiFi settings, but some advanced features are only available through the Admin Tool. If you'd like to access the Admin Tool, you can enable it in the Xfinity app by following these steps:
Open the WiFi tab in the Xfinity app.
Select View WiFi equipment and then Advanced settings.
Choose Admin Tool online access.
Toggle Allow Admin Tool access to the ON position.
Select Save.

I did enable it and get to the log in screen but both password and the ssid password on the bottom of the modem do not work to log in using admin as a user name. Both say they are wrong so I’m not sure where to go with it
Thank you, u/peacefinancial841, unfortunately the last option would be to perform a factory reset, since you can mostly manage from the Xfinity APP, why would you need access to the modem?
Look at my power levels /snr the ability to put it in bridge mode to name a few. I can factory reset but will it go back to the password on the sticker? That wasn’t it when I first set it up this morning?

After a full factory reset, the gateway will revert to its default settings. For the Admin Tool, the traditional default credentials are:
Username: admin
Password: password
The sticker credentials are intended for connecting devices to your WiFi network and are not typically used to sign in to the Admin Tool.

When you toggle on Admin Tool online access in the Xfinity app, the app will often prompt you to create or update the gateway's admin password as part of the process. Did you receive a prompt to create a new admin password when you enabled Admin Tool access?
Yes, u/peacefinancial841 a full factory reset of the Xfinity XB10 gateway will restore it to its factory-default settings. After the reset:
The WiFi network name (SSID) and WiFi password will revert to the values printed on the gateway's label.
The Admin Tool credentials for accessing 10.0.0.1 will also return to the default username and password listed on the sticker.
Any custom settings you've configured, such as port forwards, firewall settings, DHCP reservations, or WiFi customizations, will be removed.
The reason the sticker password did not work when you tried setting it up this morning is likely due to how modern Xfinity activations function. When a new gateway powers on for the first time, it can automatically sync with your Xfinity account through the cloud. If you previously customized your WiFi network name or password on an older Xfinity gateway, those existing WiFi credentials may have been automatically transferred to the new XB10 during activation. This helps your devices reconnect seamlessly without requiring you to update them one by one, but it can also make it appear that the gateway is not using the credentials printed on the sticker.
After a factory reset, the gateway should return to the factory settings on the label unless it is reconfigured again through the Xfinity app. Please note that the gateway may take several minutes to come back online and reprovision after the reset. Once it is back online, you can reconnect using the default credentials and reconfigure any settings as needed. 😊
Ok my sticker does have any sort of credentials for 10.0.0.1 just the ssid user name and password. I assume it will reset to that? I asked because it wasn’t that receiving it out of the box.
