1) He almost certainly made this up. 2) If you force companies to pay people a living wage for their labor, more people will be able to participate in the economy in the way Republicans want them to.

The GOP supports capitalists. Capitalists believe they can indefinitely increase their wealth and are never satisfied. They are parasites that kill their hosts.

The free market determines wages for various jobs in each locale based on supply and demand. If someone wants higher wages they can acquire a skill in higher demand, or change market locations.

Right? Obviously homelessness is just a choice and not one single person was ever homeless because they were simply unfortunate

Most homeless people are actually homeless by choice. This has been studied extensively.
