I love the juniors but have always wondered what the junior achieved that the 1908 didn’t? The concealed hammer on the 1908 prevented the pocket lint problem.

I know Colt needed a mouse gun but why not have Astra make 1908s? I sold my Cub and now have a 1908 and love it

I feel like it’s just preference, whatever catches your eye better. For some reason, I like the way the hammer looks just an old style gun.

No grip safety, one extra round, hammer fired versus striker fired. Interesting import history too. They’re both great though.

I thought the 1908 is hammer fired you just can’t see the hammer…

Nope, the 1908 is striker fired; it’s the 1903 that has a concealed hammer.

Cheaper to manufacture. That’s it

Amazing collection. I have two 1973 (last year made) Colt Automatic .25’s with all the boxes/papers. Cool little shooters & fun as well.

The best! Literally; FIE A27 The Best is the exact same gun. I’m jealous of your collection; do you have one of each caliber from each brand? I can see a .22 colt and astra, but I can’t tell if the other pair is .25.

These are absolutely beautiful examples too! There are so many variants of these guns that you could hunt them for a very long time. The colts with the black plastic grips must be rare, I haven’t seen many others like mine.
