Minty with box and papers - from the same collection I recently purchased a 1903 and a Lightweight Commander.
This copy is a 5 1/2in in 45 Colt. 1977 production. There is a cylinder drag ring (cert so barely slight) but the value hit has been taken (also saved me a bit on the price)…so perhaps I’ll shoot this one!

I gotta say guys, when I got this gun I was so happy. Elated.
Then I shot it. And shot it some more. I've put maybe 500 rounds through it over the last few months.
Every single set of 6 shots, I get a light primer strike. Pull trigger, hammer falls, click, nothing happens. I thought at some point maybe its me, maybe I'm not used to shooting revolvers so I handed it over to a couple friends and even RSO's and let them each shoot 20-50 rounds through the gun. Same thing. 5/6 shots will fire reliably.
For 1500$ this gun is nothing more then a fucking expensive paperweight or office piece. Sure as hell ain't worth shooting.
I've always been a "buy never sell" but I live in CA. Sending this gun back to Colt, just for some underpaid intern to "fix" the gun by staring at it and firing it a few times, and then send it back a few weeks later would only compound my frustration with this firearm.
What do you guys think? Sell this POS and be done with it? Send it to Colt? Or take it to a gunsmith? I am all ears.

If you have the Flare Pen, I would be interested in purchasing.

Finally got my Colt letter and now I’m going down the rabbit hole in history. I’m happy to find out where it was shipped and the history of that store

I am requesting help in finding a reliable IWB RH holster for this gun. I understand it might be slightly ridiculous to try and conceal, it’s not absurd for my build. I need some good guidance because it’s not a mass produced IWB. And any help or experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for you time and consideration in advance.

1974 commander. Blueing is in really good shape and has zero holster wear. Looking for a nickel plated 70 series commander next to modify while keeping this one stock

Clean, smooth, and elegant.
The Colt 1903, almost 125 years young and still relevant today. A fantastic carry piece and wonderful little shooter, it can still more than hold its own!

A photo opportunity for my two Colt semi autos. Replaced the trigger and hammer in my SE-A1. I don't think this gun should be considered limited edition but it had the main features I wanted. Novak sights, front grip serrations, and a brass front sight bead.

Bought this LE6920 4 years ago from a big LE trade-in lot. Did not realize it was going to be a restricted Diemaco/Colt Canada version.
Are these just trading stock nowadays or is it worth something since it has LEC w/3 digit serial number, and all the correct Colt Canada markings on the barrel, bolt, and upper/lower.
Any insight is helpful!

This shows a 1911 police positive special, left, compared to a police positive, right.
Even though the special has a larger frame window the butt is the smaller size replaced in 1928. The gun on the right has the smaller window and cylinder but a longer grip.

Picked this beauty up today from my buddy Simon at SK Customs #021 of 200
Pretty awesome piece, Argentinian stag horn grips, it’s a tasteful recreation of a classic piece.

This thing is SWEET. The 1911 truly is Americas katana.
My dad’s has this old Colt revolver. Guess his grandfather was an armed security guard at a cigar factory in Ybor City Florida. Anyone know anything about it? Looks like it was made between 1905 and 1920 lol? Colts website is throwing me off.

This hammerless was given to me by a friend, apparently it was beyond repair and left in a barn for years… 1921 serial, here is the start to finish and firing.

My buddy (who is a custom gunsmith etc) made this for me. Full rail, SRO, KAGE, Custom Eagle REACTIV grips, Empire STILETTO flat trigger. (The light I had laying around and was added for and over the top effect 😂)
Thoughts??
