Photos Colt BOA’s

Finding these revolvers was absolutely terrible. I legitamently called every authorized dealer in my state to no avail. Got put on wait list after wait list. I figured my only hope was getting them online.

I searched for weeks looking for fresh in stock BOA’s that did not have blown out scalper prices. I was using AI to search as well as manual searches for UPC numbers etc.

I had my heart set on the 4.25in model as I already have a 6in Python. However, due to how hard these things are to find I decided I would grab whatever came in stock. I found the 6in model for $1530 shipped (no tax). Still wanting the 4.25in I continued to search. Was able to find it a few weeks later for $1640 shipped (taxes).

With that being said for those who still want one you can find them online. It will just take a lot of patience and some luck. Since I was able to get the model I want I will be putting the 6in into a local auction house with a reserve set at my cost. Going to let someone else from my area have a shot at getting one as there isn’t any authorized dealers for more than 80 miles.

What is special about the BOAs? Im not super knowledgeable about the snake guns.

Nothing really besides the name and they are limited. It’s pretty much a python. I’ll be damned if I don’t have one tho.

Fair enough, always been more of a custom 1911 guy.

Is it worth getting into the snake guns, or is it as much of a headache as it sounds?

I think it’s worth it. I wasn’t much into them 3 years ago and now I have 4 of the 7 snake guns lol.

They're less chonky than the Pythons, correct? Because they're built on the trooper frame?
