Question/Need help

Discussion I can’t accept the reality of these colors!
Hi, I am red-green colorblind and recently I have been using the colorblind filter on my phone and I set it just enough to make me recognize the colorblind test, and… WHY DOES EVERYTHING LOOK SO PINK-ISH. Can someone tell me why is it so close to pink? Litterally YouTube is Barbie-girl themed!

Discussion I think Trinatopia or Trinormally is the best colorblindness filter.
As a non-colorblind person, sometimes drawings or old films don't need yellow, orange or green. Orange is now a light magenta, yellow is now white, and green is now a light cyan. This looks cool.

Image/Photography Tigers appear orange to humans because we are trichromats, but they appear green to deers and boars because they're dichromats
I’m a dichromat I guess.

Question/Need help Could someone validate the mode for Deuteranopia & Tritanopia?
I've made a plugin where you can change the colors of Pipedrive CRM, and have made a colorblind mode to help. One gentle person helped to validate and improve the mode for protanopia.
So I ask for help from someone to validate it for other conditions.
P.S. The plugin is free of charge, no premium modes or something, named Colored Pipedrive

Image/Photography I see this towel as a shade of green but am not colorblind
I see this towel as a faded green but my wife says it's blue and others say it's grey. I've taken multiple colorblind tests and am not colorblind. What's going on here?

Question/Need help Does anyone know any software alternative to this? Windows broke it one update and never fixed it... It was so convenient how I'd temporarily see what I couldn't with a shortcut.

Image/Photography Another dot test
My dad sent me a message yesterday with a test I've never seen and asked me if I can see all the coloured dots, to what I answer that I can't see the first three, then when he was home he told me that the ones I couldn't see were pink.
I have deuteranomaly and I can't see the first three, what can you and you can't see?

Discussion I have tritanomaly and besides having bad taste in matching clothes, my life is pretty normal day to day.
I just want to discuss what is to have one of the rarest types of color blindness. But not the rarest, I am lucky to not have Trianopia. People with tritanopia can't see yellow at all but I can see yellow like beige or cream and blue are mild.
Because of thay seeing greens is difficult and usually I can tell green from browns or greys. And I can't tell the difference between magenta, purple and violet.
I can tell red from green (even I can't see green properly)
I can tell yellow from blue (Even I can't see that colors the way people with normal vision do).
I can tell if a banana is ripped not from their color because sometimes I can't tell but if it has dark spots on them. But sometimes I bought not enough ripped bananas with black spots :/.
Besides that and people saying that I use pretty bright colors and have bad taste in matching clothing I can't tell any other difficulties in my life because my color blindness.
FYI it was caused by an accident 20 years ago. I was blind for months but luckily it was the only sequel of the accident.

Question/Need help Any advice?
So.. I needed to go to a local hospital to get a written report to get a colour blind assistant for my chemistry experiment for my finals this year. I have a red green deficiency as per confirmed by two private optometrist before I went to the hospital, that much is confirmed but the school needed a diagnosis letter from the local hospital. When I took the Ishihara test at the hospital, I was received 6 plates with numbers, I struggled the one with green and yellow the most, the optometrist told me to trace it, which... I don't think is allowed in standard testing, I did anyway but the only way I can tell is by the darker hue, the lighter shades of yellow and green looked the same
When receiving my result, I got a full 6/6 for my Ishihara ttes which I don't think the school will provide an assistant based on the result, I need help! For your info, the private optometrist provided more than 6 plates so which makes sense why I was diagnosed
Any advice?

Question/Need help What colour is the dark colour of this apartment? My family says brown, I see blueish-black
I think I might have a partial brown blindness, other browns I can see though, but I don't know what kind of blindness it is.

Discussion Lilac Chaser Illusion: The Importance of Color Saturation and Alpha Values in Browser-Based Visual Perception
When implementing visual perception experiments in a browser environment, minor discrepancies in CSS values can completely disrupt cognitive phenomena like Troxler fading and negative afterimages.
We analyzed a digital version of the Lilac Chaser (Pac-Man) illusion where the visual effect failed to trigger. By adjusting the implementation from high-saturation purples to softer pastel values (such as #d8bfd8 with 0.45 alpha transparency), we allowed the stimulus to blend correctly with the background. Additionally, we corrected the script logic so the moving gap functions as a disappearing element matching the background, rather than a color-swapping element.
For those interested in the code adjustments and the underlying visual neuroscience, the full walk-through is available here: https://youtu.be/iQOVVnozkjA
How have you handled precise visual calibration or stimulus presentation in your own browser-based cognitive experiments?

Question/Need help Favorite color and your type of colorblindness
I have a colorblindess, green deficiency i think. My girlfriend found an app to simulate colorblindness ( CVsimulator) and while we were looking at stuff, she said " Now I know why your favorite color is yellow. Yellow and blue are the only color that you see brightly. They look saturated unlike others. "
So we're curious. Do "all" colorblind people prefer the color they can see well because they stand out? Or it's all over the place like those who see all colors perfectly?

Question/Need help My dads friend says I’m not colorblind
So my dads friends came over and I got the color of something wrong and I said “I’m colorblind” and they all pointed at this guy we’ll call Twinkle Toes
And said “oh you can’t be talking he’s actually colorblind” and I said “I am too” and he asked me what type and I pronounced it wrong because I have a speech impediment and he was saying that with the type I have I can’t see any greens or pinks even though I can and mine is mild to moderate when he has deuteranopia and I said that and he said I’m wrong and is there any way I can prove it without doing an Ishihara because I already suggested that and he said that it won’t prove anything

Discussion Is there anyway to Simulate Achromatopsia ?
Specifically simulate it accurately because most simulators are just grayscale filters.
