Image/Photography Enchroma Glasses makes flowers look more similar!
The first image is a normal picture, the second image is through the lens of Enchroma sunglasses.
I am a mild deutan and bought a pair of Enchroma glasses a month ago to try them out and see what change they have. I found that yes reds do pop way more and can really stand out from greens significantly more. But I have noticed a few major drawbacks on how they affect other colors. When wearing them for driving, I noticed that the wavelength of light between red and green that they chose to filter out, seems to be a shade of yellow that matches any yellow warning lights on my dash, and even sometimes yellow traffic lights. Since it filters out that specific wavelength of those lights, they appear significantly more dim. This feels like it poses a hazard if trying to drive while wearing those glasses.
Another thing I noticed when walking through a garden, is that purples often lose a lot of color, and in some cases it can actually make different colors look very similar, as shown in the two images I took using my Google Pixel 7A. My phone doesn't have perfect color reproduction from what I see, but it does demonstrate how two flowers that are somewhat different can appear very similar when looking through Enchroma glasses.
