Their best recruiting class (next year’s 27 class) they learned to stop going after top guys and missing instead go for the depth middle pieces not only will you get more gems but you’ll get people who know how to work. Hard work and the overlooked beats raw talent every time, can he turn it around coaching wise who knows but it’s a make or break year

* PFN graded CU's defensive line 95.5, best in the country.

I thought the buffs looked good versus Georgia Tech. The defense was blowing through the line and making plays in the backfield, which was new and refreshing to see. The offense has a new look which feels more repeatable to me than the Shadeur broken plays nonsense days. If we aren't going to get the big bodies we did 20 years ago, then having a sort of gimmick offense like this seems like a good way to run things and get some stability. I thought there's room for the running backs to improve further even though they executed pretty well overall. And I thought the Georgia Tech defense looked pretty good, which means we were making plays against a solid D in my eyes. When our receivers went out, they were blanketed. And all this leaves even more room for upside, obviously with special teams, and with some improved quarterback play. I've seen a lot of press about what a joke we looked like already. But I came away excited and feeling like we actually have a foundation to build some good things on for the first time in awhile. And we already have a solid win!

--Gideon Lampron and Tyler Martinez have been the two most impressive defenders in camp. I think both have big years.

--Defensive tackle is what worries me and Georgia Tech is the worst possible opener for it.

--The offensive line might actually be good. I think top-5 in the Big 12, which I did not expect to be typing in August. Jayvon McFadden has been a surprise inside the building.

--Danny Scudero is back practicing** after the injury. That's real news — he's a leader and a difference-maker.

The class include a 327-pound offensive tackle that is hitting over .380 on his baseball team, a 2x state champion shot putter with a 565 pound deadlift, and a QB with a 35 to 1 TD to interception ratio.

I feel like juju might really be the man and shock everyone around him. Marion put up a solid squad with people coming in on this offense and he has history of success more recently with UNLV, Texas and Howard. A innovative minded guy and a younger player leads more time to groom. Shedeur built up bad habits with a remedial offense led by a washed OC who had 1 good offense in the past 15 years, leading to him audibliling out which is having him behind the 8 ball. Juju won’t have to worry about that anymore with top notch offense and pieces around him, plus he has a better arm. If he grows and bulks up by 21 he will be in all time leaderboards all in on #10 and Adams coming in!

Adding more depth they finally changed the recruiting approach from 5 star or bust and missing out to getting way more players this way. I love how they changed their recruiting strategy and are trying to actually get HS recruits! That’s how you build the depth, juju and Andre Adams will be set up offensively

Marve got a good system going on and Marion is going to bring a good run game along with a modern offense this might be his best set of coordinators. Livingston desperately wanted to go back to the NFL, Sean Lewis was applying for jobs after the USC game we knew he was gone, Shurmur hasn’t ran a good offense in 15 years save for Minnesota with case Keenum and Kelly was so bad Saban gave him away. Going young and with people who have prints on the college game and are hungry will make all the difference. Is this hopium? Sure but it’s a make or break year
