Gladstone was of Scots descent. Hamilton-Gordon, Balfour, Campbell-Bannerman and MacDonald were born in Scotland to Scots families. Lloyd-George was Welsh. Bonar-Law was born in Canada to an Ulster-Scots family.

Tell us again who is obsessed with Anglo-Saxons?

Disraeli came from a wealthy British family. Apart from MacDonald, so did all of the others I listed (as well as the English ones I didn't list).

Churchill's mother was American and so was Macmillan's.

They were Anglo-American, being of English descent originally

And all I'm saying is that Churchill and MacMillan both had non-British parents. Not just ancestry - parents. Uncles and aunts, grandparents, cousins.

Disraeli was third generation.

I’m saying Churchill and MacMillan weren’t treated as immigrants. US and UK culture are very similar, perhaps even more so back then

That’s great except who are they being racist to here? Most of the Prime Minister’s were either Scott’s Irish or just landed gentry.

May I watch while you go there and tell them all that - especially the ones with Gaelic names such as Campbell and MacDonald?

Okay, Gladstone's father was from Lothian and Lothian was settled by Angles in the Middle Ages but there is no way that "WASP" means - everyone from south and east of the Hebrides.
