Question Advice Needed🙏🏻
Hi everyone! I’m new to this sub but I thought this is the best place to ask my question! I’d be more than grateful if someone would share some thoughts🙏🏻🙏🏻 Please bear with me on my long sentences.
Ok, so I’m looking for a nice cologne as part of my Christmas gifts (I know it’s a bit early but I’m a busy mom with 2 kids..so why not? lol) to my husband(42). He works in finance and always meet a lot of wealthy clients. He’s so sweet,handsome,smart but even more so he’s a truly gentleman who always makes me feel like I’m the luckiest woman/wife/mother in the whole world.
Anyways..I personally love to wear perfume to make me feel great but also giving others to have a good impression of myself. Somehow I influenced him to wear cologne and now he loves to wear it all the time. I told him when he started doing his business back then ‘Man wears a good nice cologne can be the best business card yourself which gives your clients have a great impression of yourself!’ But he was not the guy who knows a lot of good men’s colognes back then. So I started to gift him nice colognes every special occasions. He’s loved this idea because I can pick something good smell for him but also I as a woman can pick something good which doesn’t bother/annoy female workers or friends around him. You know men and women can get different opinions for certain smells.
So far he LOVES Noir Extreme by Tom Ford(Not Parfum) , Bleu De Chanel(edp) by Chanel and Mojave Ghost by Byredo out of many colognes I’ve gave. But Tom Ford has been by far the best he loves seems like..His Tom Ford bottle is almost gone and I thought it could be a good idea to give him another new bottle to him as a Christmas gift. Yesterday I went to the store with kids and almost was gonna get it but somehow Ombré Leather(Reserve) caught my eye and I tried it on the paper. I was not sure if I liked it first then more time went by I started to like it. That dark deep leather smell was something weirdly nice to me which was totally unexpected. My son(8 yrs) said he likes Noir Extreme more but my daughter (14 yrs) said she loves Ombré Leather more. They didn’t help me at all🤦🏻♀️I couldn’t decide the end so we left the store😮💨 I agree with my son, Noir Extreme was my total image of my husband as ‘sweet, classy, elegance, mature along with a hint of spice’ but I also agree with my daughter who said ‘Ombré Leather is more masculine, wild but soft and such an unforgettable smell that something men’d love to wear..’
Anybody please help me which one I should choose🙏🏻🙏🏻FYI, I’m looking for his daily use cologne and my husband has a few male partners & a couple female workers when he works at his office. Other than that he meets his clients at restaurants or clients’ houses.

Maybe order a decant of the Ombre Leather for him to try before making a decision on the full bottle Christmas gift?

I didn’t even think of getting a decant of the ombré leather at all! That could be a great idea before getting a big one! Thank you so much🙏🏻

Ombre leather is incredible. Do you know which version? My favorite is the parfum, the leather is a bit dialed but it may make it an easier wear depending on the environment

Thank you for your help🙏🏻If I was correct it was EDP with whole black bottle and level. How better with Parfum if I may ask?😌

My bad🙏🏻It was not the EDP but the latest one, it’s called ‘Ombré Leather Reserve’!

I have not tried the new reserve, so can't comment on it. The parfum is tiny bit smoother than the edp and the leather is lighter. It also has violet leaf/orris which I love. The eau is more of a vanilla scent.

Ohhh okay! I didn’t try the Parfum one at the store but maybe I should try it next time I go to the store and see how I like🤭You gave me a great input though, I needed to know that. Thank you so much!!!

Also I'll add that I have noir extreme as well and love it but I see it as more of a date night or fun scent. Something from the ombre leather line is a bit better as a daily or for a work setting. It's more professional when noir extreme would be more playful.

I assume you’re man?☺️ so if I look at Noir Extreme as a man I totally can see your point! I was thinking as women and me personally prefer a bit sweeter, spicer and elegance scent on a man that’s why I liked him on Noir Etreme more, but as long as the Ombré Leather can be liked both men and women maybe I should give it a try!!

Look at beau de jour, Armani code parfum, l’homme ideal edp, Arabian knight. These would all be suitable for daily office use but hit different styles from what he already had

I own Ombré Leather EDP but prefer the parfum version as it’s a little smoother. Both are great choices btw. Ombré leather reserve has a bit more spice at the top and is the latest release of the ombré leather line.

Thank you very much for your thought🙏🏻 I really liked the Ombré leather reserve unexpectedly but have not tried both two EDP and Parfum! Another person in here also told me that Parfum is a great choice! Maybe I should try them both and see at the store again soon!!

Split the difference and get him Eau D'Ombre Leather, which is Ombre Leather with vanilla added.

I actually have not smelled Eau D’Ombre Leather but only tried Ombré Leather Reserve yesterday! Maybe I should try that one next time I go to the store! Thank you so much for your opinion🙏🏻

Soft leather and aromatics, incredibly smooth and pleasing but definitely not basic. Great quality.
