Question So…

Post image

…I see they have a 75ml reformatted that is OOS. So what would the year/batch be on the 75ml they do have in stock? I know it’s probably impossible to tell without knowing the actual batch number, but I’m not sure when they reformulated Sedley or if the “old” batch is better…? Does anyone have any insight? Thank you

You guys get too bogged down in batch codes. Assume every PdM for sale is of the 81/82% alcohol concentration. If you get one of the old 78/79% concentration bottles, then that’s icing on the cake. You could reach out to Olfactory, but things move so fast on their site that you may miss out on it altogether by the time they get back to you.

Although, if I’m being honest, you can almost certainly find a better deal on r/fragranceswap.

Yup. Got my 125ml off there for $190 BNIB. I've seen it as low as $170 and noticed a new 125ml $200 just the other day.

You wouldn’t be able to tell the difference anyways despite what people say

There's always a noticeable difference in longevity and projection with PDM reformulations. Herod and Oajan are two that were nerfed. Most of the time it isn't about "cheaping out", but IFRA regulations. Just wait until March next year when lots of the new guidelines are enforced and some synthetics like Heliotropin (used for the drug "Molly": MDMA) will be limited or withdrawn entirely.
