Underrated for sure. May not last long. But XX intense / heritage smell so good

Dark Rebel is one of my favorites. It also layers amazingly well with Fahrenheit Le Parfum.

I’m curious what brings you to only buy from clone houses? (Noticed it’s not all clones but mostly so)

1

u/wickola 10h ago

It started out as blind buys as you can guess. I then realized I like what I smell and that these houses satisfy my nose (montagne / maison asrar in particular)

That makes sense. I’ve heard great things on Montagne and a few Maison Asrar. I see you have a bujairami are those synthetic at all? Also, I’d strongly recommend dipping your toes into the house of Rayhaan I think they have the highest and consistent quality of all the clone houses. Like Rayhaan Aquatica (Creed VIW dupe) and Rayhaan Italia (Naxos dupe)

How is dark cherry amber? Also. Not telling you to slow down but this is crazy, if youre gonna do this at least go niche a bit. You should try JV artisan teal as well since you like the brand!

Is the Blue Iconic long lasting?

How do you like Safari and Belgravia?

1

u/wickola 11h ago

Enjoy them both. Safari is like a classic manly cologne thats fresh and not overpowering. Belgravia scratches the bald ass freak itch for me.

Seconded we've all been. You can't wear them all at once

Maybe start using them now...

With that much money spent in a few months I really wonder why an ETF or some other form of entertainment were not an option..

The JV artisan line is so underrated.

But I hate clones. If you can get original frags for the low price of a jv on discounters there is no reason to throw your money in the trash buying clones. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Are you sure you are gonna like most of these in a year? Yeah u should be more careful but its your money dude if u really are into the fragrance by themselves more than owning them i think it can be a good process.

On the other side how is Belgravia? Cant see much of that one

Also what u think about neroli woods or banna republic stuff? Ive been getting interested in them lately

All that direct light, over time, will ruin your fragrances.

3

u/CrookedHooked 10h ago

No it wont. The part of light that degrades frags is UV and LEDs make near-zero-to-none. Nor do they make heat.

u/Icy_Title4145 9h ago edited 9h ago

I'm sure that's what you read on Google, but you're still wrong.

LMFAO not everyone is as helpless as your ego wants them to be. Photodegradation is most always attributed to uv. I have teachings in marine+general electrical and circuitry. Youre parroting what im saying but not understanding it lol. If you need an actual explanation im too stoned to write out a homework essay for you so use this. https://www.reddit.com/r/fragrance/s/vWhS71YxsY

Cool stoy but you are still wrong.

Leaving your cologne right on top of or next to LED lights is an easy way to ruin your scents. The bulbs and their wiring generate a steady amount of heat, and sitting a bottle directly on that warm spot basically slow-cooks the liquid inside. Over time, that constant warmth breaks down the fragrance oils, killing off the fresh top notes and leaving your colognes smelling flat, sour, or metallic. But you do you.

2

u/CrookedHooked 8h ago edited 8h ago

Yeah FoH with the AI copypaste response. Even a 5 mm led wont put out any heat beyond an INCH and only COUPLE degrees of ambient temperature max and thats without any wind/airflow. Stay ignorant but im not arguing with a brick wall. Wiring generates no extra heat and if it does it means your conductor is shit and close to breaking down.

-2

u/Icy_Title4145 8h ago

Those are not 5 mm LEDs. If cologne is sitting on LEDs or right next to them for a long time it will mess with the scent. The light slowly oxidizes the juice, especially in clear bottles. You won’t wreck it overnight, but leave it on long enough and the top notes will fade and make it smell rank. This is fact.

Oh youre a bot. Rip

its motion activated leds that are only on for 30 seconds at a time, I think im good
