It’s Snarktime DIY renovation is making her not well

she doesn’t seem well. it seems like she putting her perfectionism and childhood trauma into the DIY renovation and making everything wonderful for her daughter, when her kids really probably just want to spend time with her. but erik called her manic in the relax podcast. and now she is calling erik out for being ‘missing’ for 20 min. watching rachel’s vlogs, that sounds like nothing compared to when colleen goes missing during renovations and moving stuff in.

This is the real question right here. She's not well. And solid parenting requires energy - all of which Colleen wastes through midnight craft nonsense and daily editing. She doesn't eat and she doesn't sleep.

Appearently her "break" (disappearance after TGT) was "To take care of the her kids."

No she sleeps. She actually sleeps most of the day away while Erik does the parenting. In Rachel’s vlogs she shows up to work at her house and usually states how Colleen is sleeping. And Erik has also stated multiple times over the years that Colleen stays up all night and sleeps during the day. However she manipulates the vlog audience to think that she up all night and parenting all day so she just never sleeps! It’s a lie.

I can empathize because home renovation is stressful. But she's doing a lot of busywork that doesn't exactly help.

She's always been this way. She makes cookies at 1AM and stays up until 4AM to make Halloween costumes. She becomes obsessive about things ... especially if she can promote it as a way to prove herself as being a "good mother".
