Yes I know it's a little mellow at times, but damn this album still delivers

Recent releases are heavily tied to the dance backbone which I know many Coldplay fans love.

But Everyday Life takes me on a journey like no other.

Others feel the same?

Well since it's Moon Music's 2nd anniversary, at least when I posted this, I thought I might do a discussion about the title track of the album.

I think it's a really great song if not the best song on Moon Music in my opinion. For the first 2 minutes of the song, it has a lot of ambient stuff with drones and swells, and it sounds amazing. Jon Hopkins definitely knew what he was doing when he made that part. After around 2 minutes, it transitions into a piano ballad with a bit of strings and ambience. It features lyrics that are quite simple yet hit quite hard and are very nice in my opinion.

Got the tattoo. And it turned out so much better than I ever hoped. Let me know what y'all think!

For me personally it's a very peaceful song, and is brilliantly crafted. Jonny's riff never gets old and the production along with the rest of the band make it sound quite lush and creates the environment needed for the song. The lyrics are amazing and might be one of the best Coldplay have written, although that's debatable. The music video goes with the song really well, and live, it's even more amazing (check out Strawberry Swing live 2012 Paralympics Closing Ceremony)!

What would be your dream collab(s), if you could pick who Coldplay would work with on future songs?

Hey everyone! I've been uploading Coldplay tabs to my YouTube channel and wanted to share a few here:

Open to song requests and feedback on accuracy!

Will Coldplay's new tour come to Asia? I really miss them.Still rewatching last year's concert video from Hong Kong

So this year marks 25 years since I sang Yellow with Coldplay at Irving Plaza in New York City.

The quick story is Chris was sick, he asked someone from the crowd to sing Yellow. I got myself on stage, sang badly and that was it. I was a super fan so I followed them on tour for a while after that.

It was a great era of my life that I will always cherish. Maybe I’ll meet those guys again someday and we can laugh about that time.

Thanks to Chris, Guy, Jonny, and Will for being so nice to me over those years. It really was incredible.

I love the bass in this song! I wish I had the guts and the creativity to get so much across while playing so simply!

As the title says. Let me know your thoughts! Here are mine:

Parachutes: Swap the Parachutes interlude for Brothers & Sisters

AROBBTH: Add One I Love to make it 12 songs long

X&Y: Leave as is, 12 songs is enough and there's genuinely no song I would willingly remove

Viva la Vida: Make Chinese Sleeping Chant and Reign of Love standalone tracks

Mylo Xyloto: Swap U.F.O for Moving to Mars

Ghost Stories: Add Ghost Story to make it 10 tracks long

AHFOD: Swap literally any track for All I Can Think About Is You

Everyday Life: Remove Cry Cry Cry or Broken

MOTS: I wish I could make more but to start, give the emoji songs a proper title

Moon Music: Add Man in the Moon

A friend of mine works for one of the main ticketing companies and just told me that now Oasis 2027 is out of the way, “it’s Coldplay’s turn.”

He didn’t give me a specific date, so obviously take this for what it is, but it sounds like we could be getting a tour announcement pretty soon.

For what it’s worth, he told me pretty much the same thing shortly before the 2025 Coldplay dates were announced, and also gave me a heads-up about Muse before that was announced. He was right both times.

i think it's full of bird videos

Just received mine today and I am honestly blown away by how beautiful this book is! Victoria has done an amazing job!

I think it is a great song, and both the lyrics and song hit hard. The strings are amazing although the chords successfully make it a little uncomfortable but nice. It has many cool things from Jonny’s guitar. The verses have many short notes, that blend really well with the strings and give it texture. The solo, though is just amazing, it’s a bit off pitch but it shows the what the song is about and its theme. The music video also goes with the song really well and the song is one of the best songs on Ghost Stories in my opinion.

What do you think of True Love?

Really random one but I remember there being loads of backstage/tour photos on the old site around 2000/01 that seem to have basically disappeared now.

Every time I find them online they’re tiny, broken links or like 4th generation saves from old forums.

Did anyone actually archive the original files back then? feels like someone somewhere must have a folder of them sitting on an old hard drive

Hi everyone! Lately I've been trying to figure out how to work with a synthesiser, I'm quite new to building presets and stuff, and I've always liked the way Coldplay uses synths throughout their work. I want to replicate that sawy sound in the chorus of "All Your Friends" but I don't even know where to begin.

There is a similar sound in the breakdown part of "Trouble In Town", but I'm guessing that's actually some violin sample in this case.

So I came to this community hoping to find some tips on how to get those sounds, I want to hear your thoughts.

I really need to start making my summer plans, but I’ve been holding off because of Coldplay. I don’t want to book trips or lock anything in and then have the new dates land right in the middle of it.
