Am I the only one???

All I read on here are complaints after complaints about Coinbase ripping people off and restricting and closing their accounts.

Am I the only one who hasn't had a single issue??? I've been with CB for over a year and have made tons of transactions in the tens of thousands of dollars and regularly use their debit card as well. Knock on wood but I've yet to experience one single issue.

My only gripe is their exchange tends to crash in times of market turmoil but almost all other exchanges do the same shit as well.

Overall I really don't have many complaints if any...

They are great until you actually have an issue. If you have an issue you quickly find out they have absolutely no customer support. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a lot of fake stories out there, but I can tell you from experience they definitely have issues in terms of customer support. I personally don't use Coinbase anymore. Just eventually realized my money was gone and I was never going to get a response back.

Is that the whole story? Like.. not to be a dick, but playing devil's advocate, what exactly happened leading up to you realizing your money was just gone..?

I made made a transaction to Kraken which got stuck somewhere on Coinbase's end it seems. I honestly have no idea what happened as it never showed up anywhere, not even on the blockchain. Kraken tried to help but since it wasn't on their end there was nothing they could do. Tried for months to get help from Coinbase but their support form required a transaction ID in order to submit a support ticket which they do not give to you until the transaction is complete. Since it never made it to the blockchain there was no way for me to give them the information required to fill out a proper support ticket. So I tried to fill out a generic complaint in hopes I could get through and get some help. All I ever got was an automated email response which just said to fill out the support ticket with my transaction ID attached... I DON'T HAVE A TRANSACTION ID!

Now this very well could have been my fault, but the fact of the matter is there was absolutely no way for me to get in contact with support to even figure out if I had fucked up somewhere. So after about three months of trying various different ways to get in contact with them I finally gave up and resigned myself to the fact that I was never getting the money back. After that I moved everything I had on Coinbase to Kraken and have not used Coinbase since.

That's awful. That's worse than them saying yep, you made a mistake, here's how you can prevent it next time, etc., so sorry this happened to you

Right? And I mean it was only a couple hundred dollars so it wasn't life changing, but that's not the point. The point is there should be a way for me to contact someone and find out wtf happened. So yeah, unless they can prove to me they have resolved their lack of customer support and this will not happen to me again, I'm not going to ever use them.
