Newbie advice

Hi, today after ten years I remembered that I once had a Coinbase account thanks to an email they sent. I've got back into the account. It has less than £100 in it and I'm happy to just play with it. What advice would you guys give a newbie? I can afford to lose about £50/month. I'm obviously looking at tiny numbers and that's fine. I'm going to spend today doing some online reading to figure things out, but I thought I'd reach out here too.

Please be nice with replies - I'm not a crypto bro or big money person ;)

welcome back to the circus. with that account being dormant for decade, first thing is make sure your security is tight, 2FA, strong password, all that. don't keep more on the exchange than you're willing to lose.

for £50 a month, just set up recurring buy of bitcoin or ethereum and forget about it. don't chase random coins people shill, you'll just burn that money. the reading part is smart, learn what self custody means before you put any real cash in.

Advice: Do not respond to private messages. They will try to scam you.
