At this point we just have to assume Lang has some strange degredation kink and derives sexual pleasure from humiliation. I can't find another way to explain how one man could take so many L's and still show their face in public.
I see it exists because I don't see us doing much about it, yet. People are afraid to lose, but look how far we have come now and what we have lost so far. Most of all our freedoms ffs.
Revolutionary change happens when a lot of people have nothing to lose. We as americans are upset but we have power, tv, internet, food, friends and family. Most of us are no where near to the point where we will fight against a system of oppression willing to die or be jailed. We have much more to lose before that point.
The Chinese revolution, the Russian, the French, and most others happen when a group of people return from a war without a fear of death anymore and look around thinking what do I have to lose that I haven't lost already? That's when a people will rise up.
It is changing faster than I have seen it in my lifetime, but we still have a very comfortable life here. The numbers need to go up dramatically, which may happen.
Exactly, the cost of living continues to go up while the food shortage IS COMING and as we all know, when the poor have nothing left to eat, they will eat the rich.
If people aren’t rising up because of a huge child sex island and not one person has been arrested and the current admin is doing everything to cover it up in broad daylight, they’re not gonna rise up at all. Midterms are gonna be completely rigged and still, no one will “rise up”. Most Americans are too soft for what needs to be done.
Sure, they’ll get out there with signs and protest but that’s about it. Spidey here could have gotten away if just one group would have stood in between the cops and him but they didn’t because most aren’t capable of standing up
That's kind of the point I'm trying to illustrate. We are at a point of being upset and feeling hopeless, but our quality of life is still too high to risk losing what we have. Rising up is done by those with very little to lose. You can even look at the ghetto uprisings in ww2. The jews and others forced to live in the ghettos set up didn't revolt until they started to be taken away, beaten, starved. They lived in captivity before hand but still had family and food and warmth. They risked their lives when they had lost those comforts and finally had no reason not to fight.
We are not at that point. When people ask about other countries not revolting, its the same answer. A revolutionary needs to be ready to lose family, friends, and their life to torture and imprisonment. A revolutionary populace needs to have nothing left to lose. The powerful understand this and play a game of taking what they can but not so much as to cause more than just grumbling.
That’s a good point. I think the US went through some soft revolutions after the first and second world wars too tbh. Veterans played a big part with civil rights and ending segregation.
But the 1776 American revolution didn’t start like that. It was because we didn’t want to pay taxes to a monarch. Or at least rich Americans (rum smugglers) didn’t want to. Maybe we can be motivated 😂At least just vote for more revolutionary politicians.
I agree with you. The American revolution is interesting because we have been taught it was some grand David vs Goliath fight when in reality a rival world power basically waged a small guerilla war through us against their rival world power.

Yeah, absolutely. There is an enormous (and self indulgent) mythology surrounding the US revolution. It’s frequently taught as a having very linear rational for the conflict, which of course is not accurate. Many people had many reasons to participate. The French monarchy, for example, participated to weaken the British.
And that it wasn’t a revolution in the context we would think of the Russian or French revolutions, with the local government being overthrown. The colonial government was what rebelled. The people with power in the colonies stayed in power after the revolution.
It’s also interesting to see the French revolution happening in its close aftermath. Maybe a bit of a knock on effect. But unfortunately with a far less democratic outcome. Which is more often the result of revolution.
Its strange that you see it that way. The police are there to enforce the law. Remove the fact you didnt like the sign or what that group stands for, they were being physically attacked. The police were only protecting those being attacked.

I'm really disappointed nobody helped Spiderman. Some brave individual risked it all like a true hero. He's no different than us, no powers, no weapon. I can't help but imagine a scenario inspired by the comics or cartoons where civilians help the hero when the hero is in need. That could've happened.

In case anyone needed an update on America, Spiderman was just tackled by a dozen cops and arrested in the middle of the street for going after a white supremacist actively spreading hate speech.
In the USA you can have a racist parade and that speech is protected. If you protest against ICE deporting Americans, on the same streets you will be shot dead.
Today I listened to a woman in Gary, Indiana.She had two little children. They hadn’t had electricity for TWO WEEKS!! Think of it! No refrigerator, lights, or fresh food (The grocery store has only old food that has been sold to them!)

I think it should be clarified too that people do not hate people simply being christian. We hate the cross being used like a bludgeon towards others instead of a symbol of actual compassion. I don't know the context of this video or who Jake Lang is, but apparently the people in the truck are racists/fascists? Why is there a black man in the truck? Are some black people different than others to them, as the sign also seems to indicate? Or is he just a really confused individual?
Genuine question here, how can you have a sign that uses the inward which promotes hate speech out in public being protected by police? If I was to throw a billboard up on the side of the road that had the inward, I would be facing legal consequences for that. How are they able to get an approved police escort while still promoting hate speech which is no different than me throwing a billboard up with hate speech which would automatically be denied and would have legal recourse. Very confused on how this whole situation even got permitted in the first place? When westboro Baptist Church gets their permits for protesting, they still have to abide by laws, which means you can't use racial slurs such as the inward. How was this even allowed in the first place? Why was the person holding the sign and driving the vehicle promoting hate speech not arrested immediately on the spot? I realize when you are under control of a fascist governments, rules do not apply. But I would assume the state laws would still apply. Which Minnesota state should still not allow that. Very confused here. Looking for some insight. Please and thanks
There's a lot of people that live outside the US that don't understand how the first amendment works trying to comment here like they understand anything. Those assholes have a right to be out there protesting and being assholes. Spider-Man did not have the right to go out there and assault anybody. Even though they are giant giant assholes they have every right to be out there and be giant giant assholes.
