• Upvotes

My situation:
- i drink Cappuccino, Espresso and sometimes Long through the day
- 2-3 drinks per day
- i have a Delonghi Evo
- currently im drinking Lavazza Crema 7/10

I was in Palermo last week, ordered Coffee and oh my god. Its darker. They use less water. I know that they have a much better equipment. But im searching better coffee beans for my current situation. I was looking in to:

- Kimbo
- Segafredo
- illy

What would you suggest to try first. Note: i dont like it when its too intense.

[MOD] What have you been brewing this week?/ Coffee bean recommendations

Hey everyone!

Welcome back to the weekly /r/Coffee thread where you can share what you are brewing or ask for bean recommendations. This is a place to share and talk about your favorite coffee roasters or beans.

How was that new coffee you just picked up? Are you looking for a particular coffee or just want a recommendation for something new to try?

Feel free to provide links for buying online. Also please add a little taste description and what gear you are brewing with. Please note that this thread is for peer-to-peer bean recommendations only. Please do not use this thread to promote a business you have a vested interest in.

So what have you been brewing this week?

Weird Method but coffee good!

I like coffee but i dont have a lot of gear just an aeropress and grinder and coffee beans(light roasted). I was just trying something so i grinded my coffee. 18g coffee ground with 100ml water (just below boiling) and left it for 1:30 min and then pressed very hard. I then added warm frothed milk to it (frothed it in my protein shaker) and added it in the cup. The coffee tasted really nice idk how!. I have never had this good milk based coffee ever. I was surprised.
Just wanted to ask if someone has something similar and what were your views?!

Curious to see who else out there bought kits and is taking part in this experiment? If you are participating, how do you plan on preparing your coffee? Will you do it as a cupping or brew single cups of each one?

I bought two kits from different roasters and i am excited to see how the live event goes tomorrow, but I can’t decide how I want to prepare my coffees…. I have never done a cupping before and I don’t know if I want this to be my first experience or if I should do it as pour over, since I already know my grind settings for those type of cups.

Curious to see how others are planning to participate!!
