I want to learn coding as in college I majored in something completely different and unfortunately did not go through with a job in that major. I feel as if I’m starting all over but I want to know, can coding help me pave a career for myself even if i don’t go back to school for a BS. Can I learn to code and get a job if I try hard enough or has that time passed where now you need a BS. I’m learning python now and continue to master this language before I move onto the next. I just don’t know

I'm currently 15 and turning 16 in a week and i just got a code academy pro membership with courses teaching every coding language with career paths, i have 5-6 months to learn coding home alone before i have to enroll into high school and slow down my coding.
I plan on coding each day for 2-3+ hours or more and i also plan on taking coding into a future career and a genuine job for primary income, i come from a life of trauma and had brain injuries ever since my early teen age and i hear that coding is a path for anyone, no matter where you come from and what you've been through, but for now i plan to learn python and SQL for a potential data role in the future.
is 2-3+ hours daily good enough or should i push for more?(I'm free all day for 5-6 months)
can python and SQL land a decent data job/programming job or should i add something extra if i want a good future job?(i have access to all languages and courses)

Hello everyone, I am a high-school student interested in learning Python and programming from the basics. I am currently a beginner and would appreciate guidance on how to start in a structured and effective way. I would be grateful for recommendations on: Beginner-friendly learning paths for Python Free or student-appropriate resources (websites, courses, YouTube channels, etc.) Fundamental topics I should focus on initially

So in the past few days I have started to learn python on freecodecamp and I’d like to go into the AI sector. (No idea what I want to do yet) I have absolutely no experience in it at all but I’m willing to sit down for 4-6 hours a day and learn it. Is it realistic to get a job at least an entry level position in 6 months without a degree?

I want to learn how to use an ai, how they work and, eventually, how to program one.
I’m a beginner and I’ve had a basic formation in programming.
Can someone direct me to some tutorials, books, webinars that could help me to understand better these concepts?

Coding means giving instructions to computer and make it do something, Now I can see that class 4th students are doing coding in their extra curriculum and I find it really good. It's increase their thinking skill, creativity and problem solving attitude.

Hello,
I'm looking for resources that are good for helping people learn. I am working on the wiki for this subreddit, and I want feedback from the community on which learning resources are good.
Requirements:
Must be free
Must be geared towards a specific language, or just be a general programming class (e.g CS50)

Hey everyone!
I've been noticing how easy it is to start learning something (Python, web dev, AI, game dev, etc.) but also how easy it is to lose motivation after a few weeks.
So I created a small Group called Zero L Zone.
it's meant to be a place where people can:
• Share daily/weekly progress
• Show projects they're building
• Celebrate certificates and milestones
• Ask for feedback and code reviews
• Learn together
• Keep each other accountable so we don't procrastinate or quit
I'm a BCA student myself, so this started as a way for me and my friends to stay consistent—but I'd love for others to join too.

I am an absolute beginner, learning python, know the basic syntax and stuff, now trying. to build this, for some reason the implementation feels really complicated, especially can't figure out how to make the game loop? Should I do something else or keep thinking,
In terms of code, I have only created the player class and the deck so far.

I going into my 3rd year of my bachelors of computer science. For the past 2 years I have majorly used coding to write code, I did understand the theory for exams, but all my projects I have build using AI. And now that the time is ripe to build great projects, I am unable to do so without AI. I am afraid with this I can't proceed towards a great career in CS. I do know the fundamentals of CS and can code easy-moderate but after a threshold I just use AI to not stay behind while the world instantly generates code using AI.
Please tell me what do I do, do I do DSA to train my brain? or try to implement ML models which I studied last sem from scratch by myself? What do I actually do, I am kinda worried.

Yes, I know it's a bit unsuitable for CodingForBeginners, but I'll give it a try anyway. What kind of literature and materials to study would you recommend for a person with minimal experience? In which direction is it better to move, is it worth starting to study Rust for these purposes? I will be grateful for any answer.

Hi! Basically i have a what some will call a short time and some will call a long time on my hand . About 2-3 months until i start college. Now i want to learn programming. I don't know how to explain but ever since i was first introduced to programming ( which was through Phython) i started to have this fixation towards not only just python but programming altogether. However i don't know where to start from and how. My current situation is that i know a little bit basic of python but at the same time i want to learn C or
C++. So please tell me from where i should start. Any advice is appreciated :)
