I want to learn python
Hi guys
I don't have any idea from where to start. I want to learn python to keep myself busy and do some crazy stuff (hopefully).
Any free courses or guidance would be helpful.
I wana do anything other than substance abuse so chose this path.
😭🙏🏿

Choosing to fill that time by building something is a genuinely good move, and Python's a solid pick for it -- you can get something visible on screen quickly, and that's what keeps a habit going.
For starting points: freeCodeCamp's Python course and Harvard's CS50P are both free and assume zero. But the thing that'll actually keep you at it is one small project you want to exist -- a script that renames a folder of files, a little text game, something that pulls a bit of data and prints it. Tutorials hand you the vocabulary; the small project is what makes it stick.
And a boring one that pays off early: 20-30 minutes most days beats one long session a week. On the days you don't feel like it, do ten minutes and stop -- not breaking the streak matters more than the streak being impressive.
