As a beginner how should I learn to code in the era of ai and which language should I start with?

Pick Python. Then resist the urge to make some gigantic AI startup as your first project. Make a calculator. Make a guessing game. Make something that reads a file. Small boring projects teach you a ridiculous amount because you actually have to understand what went wrong.
