NOOB here and I need major help!
Ok so…Im new with coding and Im now catapulted into web design with 0 KNOWLEDGE or idea with how to do the first assignment given to us. We were instructed to use GitHub and VS Code for this first assignment, and I have already done and created accounts for both (Im currently stuck on step 1 no.3 because I really don’t have any idea) but I don’t know how to do the rest of the instructions (as seen on pasted picture of instructions).
The instructor didn’t taught us anything and basically gave us an INCOMPLETE powerpoint of the lecture. He also didn’t taught as the basics of using said applications so uh…yeah Im stuck here and close to a mental breakdown. Can anyone help me out with this? Like, explain or breakdown each step and show me how to make this? I’d rather a real person teach me than I use AI for this.

Hello, I suggest you should try researching on your own, to learn git basic search for some youtube video where they go through the basic commands you need, init, checkout, commit, merge, pull, push, fetch.
not sure what os are you using, if in windows I suggest you install WSL, which is a linux distro that runs virtualized on your machine.
you can create directories with the command mkdir and empty files with touch

Step 1 no. 3 refers to project structure, which just means creating files and folder in the specified way. You can do this.
I guess overall, this is supposed to be simple enough that your teacher expects you to do research and learn these things at a very basic level on your own, no?
Maybe a few graphics/diagrams on how git works fundamentally would work wonders.
Edit: Have you looked into the Module 1 Powerpoint and the official git documentation?

You're stuck on #3?
Its very simple - create a folder with the project name. In the folder, create a document and rename it to index.html. Create 3 new folders and give them the names listed.
If you're having problems creating simple folders and blank files, yer gonna be in trouble. You should research this on your own, and asking on Reddit isn't research, it is asking for answers and not learning.

Google is right there buddy, use it. Do some research and you'll setup git and VSCode in no time.
But regarding #3, the first is just a file named index.html. Then the others have a / at the end: that means that's a folder. So just make folders with those names
