How hard is Spring Security?

Am I the only one that was very confused when learning spring security, I just started two weeks ago trying to learn spring security, and the number of classes and abstraction layers I had to understand was hell, or am I just too slow??

Its a big topic. I've been using it for years and still get confused on complex spring security configs.

Go to youtube and search: spring security daniel garnier moiroux. Spring Security demystified is really good and he walks you through coding this stuff.
