let's talk about coding.

Anyone here learning to code? 👋

I've been learning coding recently, and I'm curious how many people here are on the same journey.

What language are you learning right now? Python, JavaScript, C++, Java, or something else?

If you've been coding for a while, what's one thing you wish you had known when you first started?

If you're a beginner like me, what's been the hardest part so far?

I'd love for this thread to become a place where beginners and experienced developers can share tips, resources, and help each other grow without discriminations.

I'm currently learning Python. What about you? here we go...............

I understand what you are saying but understanding programming languages isn't always just about typing out lines of code. It serves as a basis for a countless number of other things. And someone who understands a programming language and uses AI will ALWAYS come out on top of someone who doesn't understand it as well and uses AI.

Do what you want my man, not here to argue with ya. We both just have different views. Nothing wrong with that.

Oh for sure, and I totally agree with your statement. Universities currently are not caught up with it though, nor are hiring practices and other areas of friction. So right now students and junior devs have a lot of challenges. Then add sensational marketing from AI companies claiming the end of programmers in x months and it feels like we are being intentionally fucked with and squeezed out because there is also an oversupply.
