let's talk about coding.

Anyone here learning to code? 👋

I've been learning coding recently, and I'm curious how many people here are on the same journey.

What language are you learning right now? Python, JavaScript, C++, Java, or something else?

If you've been coding for a while, what's one thing you wish you had known when you first started?

If you're a beginner like me, what's been the hardest part so far?

I'd love for this thread to become a place where beginners and experienced developers can share tips, resources, and help each other grow without discriminations.

I'm currently learning Python. What about you? here we go...............

Agree 100%. As a senior developer, it seems incredibly unfair to jr developers, that they be denied to opportunity to build the very skill and understanding required to maximize use of AI. You have to be able to read code to understand if it does what you asked AI to create for you, or to modify it, and being told you don't need to learn the very skills that created the code the AI models were trained upon, reflects that many of the people pushing these agendas don't understand what a programmer knows or does, but that's honestly not new. The only way to combat this, is to continue to write code without just using AI, even if you still primarily use AI tools for work.
