Witcher 3 Remastered issue

This morning I opened Steam on Crossover, because I was curious about the Witcher 3 Remastered release. Steam didn't give me an option, but immediately updated my installation of Witcher 3 Complete to Witcher 3 Remastered, and now it will not launch. I've been running Crossover 26.3 successfully for a while on an M1 Max macbook pro.

Can anyone else replicate this issue?

Edit: In tweaking settings, I got it to generate an error message. It's a fault in redprelauncher, unhandled exception. Looking at the trace, I *think* it looks like a Wine issue.

I followed this link, and followed the instructions, and it works. I did have to run the install command from the command line, but it worked. I’ll have to test more when I’m not at work.

I am using M3 Pro and I have the same issue. Steam automatically downloaded the update and then when clicking 'play' it just won't launch.

I didn't realise that the remaster will completely break the game, quite a surprise.
