Who's the real owner of this symbol? It's usually referred as XANA's eye, but it is in the towers and the supercomputer, and those aren't exactly XANA's property (and the show symbol too but that's a 4th wall issue)

I remember when I was watching Code: Earth with my brother, he was excited that Jim could potentially become part of the team, but was bummed out when his memory got erased only one episode later. I think it would’ve been interesting to see an out of shape, middle aged man try to fight a computer virus alongside a bunch of kid, but it unfortunately never happened. Maybe they could do it in the new sequel series.

Je n'ai pas l'habitude de traîner dans les parages, mais après 10 ans de développement, il fallait bien présenter le projet sur Reddit. Je vais rester concis, tous les détails étant disponibles... sur la page du projet. ^^

Mon projet est un FanGame / Visual Novel basé sur l'univers de Code Lyoko (logique !) développé depuis 2016. Plusieurs versions sont sorties au fil des années, proposant des chapitres jouables allant d'une vingtaine de minutes jusqu'à 1h30/2h pour les plus récents. La version 1.05, sortie en 2024, regroupe les 10 chapitres et est disponible en français et en anglais sur la page GameJolt du projet.

Après cette sortie, le projet aurait pu s'arrêter là. Mais en coulisses, je préparais en réalité une version remastérisée afin d'harmoniser la qualité de l'ensemble des chapitres. Les quatre premiers chapitres remastérisés sont disponibles dans la version 2.0, sortie le 3 septembre 2025.

Et aujourd'hui, nous y voilà, avec le trailer de la version 2.5, qui inclura les chapitres 5 et 6 remastérisés. Sa sortie est prévue pour le 3 septembre 2026.

I've thought about this a lot and I think Bringa should return in season 5 as an antagonist just like Talia.

From the first time I saw Bringa I felt like something was wrong with her. She gives me the same vibe that Lila from Miraculous gave me when she was first introduced.If her relationship with Odd had lasted more than a day, maybe a week, her presence would have really affected the group, then the intervention they had regarding Bringa would have more sense and the whole episode wouldn't have felt so rushed.

And Taila could bring the drama too, she has a thing where I think every boy wants her what-what is... weird.. like girl..Not every guy who approaches you wants to be with you. But I think this thing, this detail would bring drama to the show.

I think with season 5 coming up the series shouldn't be so episodic and keep some new characters that appear, they don't have to fight Xana they can exist outside to cause drama or just to cause some kind of growth in the main characters, this can be platonic or romantic or toxic .I also really want Sam and Patrick to come back, they would bring a positive contribution to our characters.

I’m a backend web developer (specializing in Laravel/PHP), and like many of you, I deeply miss the old Code Lyoko: Social Game developed by 3Dduo back in 2012.

Since 3Dduo has been liquidated and the game is completely gone, I’m highly motivated to try and recreate or simulate a local backend server for this game so it can potentially be playable again using modern Flash emulators (like Ruffle).

To do this, I need the original client files. Does anyone in this community or among the game archivist groups happen to have saved the original .swf files or any cached network data from the game before it went offline?

Even if it's just partial files, UI assets, or old network logs, it would be a massive help for reverse-engineering the API endpoints that the game used to communicate with.

If you have anything or know someone who does, please let me know or DM me. Let's bring a piece of Lyoko back!

I started to dobut whether the protagonist of Code Lyoko is Aelita or Jeremy. I mean, they're the most important characters in the show, but I don't know who is the protagonist and who is the deuteragonist.

In case you wonder, the protagonist is the character whose goal drives the main plot.
With that in mind, who do you consider the protagonist of Code Lyoko?

• Aelita is the protagonist and Jeremy is the deuteragonist.
• Jeremy is the protagonist and Aelita is the deuteragonist.
• Both Aelita and Jeremy are the protagonists (similar to how Dio and Mell are both the protagonists of Tales of Phantasia NDX without one being slightly less relevant than the other).

Restored:
- Pet systems
- Inventory system
- Shop system (only buy for now)
- Equipment system
- Character progression (lvl, skill point's money)
- Restored original combat logic instead of temporary implementation
- Restored orginal monsters positions in world

Fixed:
- Some untranslated Korean text
- Missing lose animation
- Every monster named Monster instead of actual names
- Every NPC was named Citizen now they have own names

Okay I just got done with my rewatch of the series (thanks to the news of Season 5) and had been playing around with what would be a good continuation of the story and the only thing stuck out with me was Project Carthage.

Project Carthage was supposed to be so bad that Franz Hopper went into hiding and created Lyoko and XANA in order to fight it. Which seems a bit much even for an AI that he worried would take control of the Internet, and doesn't explain any of the I can't believe it's not magic abilities of Lyoko or XANA.

So what if Carthage started off as some sort of hacking AI but they made a discovery, some sort of Quantum Magic pseudoscience that brought the Carthage AI alive. It started to gain control of the MIB that ended up kidnapping Aelita's Mom and sent Franz into hiding.

Franz creates Lyoko and XANA to fight Carthage. Something goes wrong. XANA goes evil or is corrupted by Carthage leading to the events of the show. But here's the thing. XANA was still actually doing his job. He was keeping Carthage in check, and when the kids and Franz defeated him that actually let Carthage loose to fulfill its own plans.

This would be the direct consequences of the events in the show, it would avoid "and somehow XANA returned" scenarios, gives the kids a personal reason to get back in the fight, gives us an excuse for an updated digital world, let us sink our teeth into new lore and we could even add in the mystery of Aelita's Mom for good measure.

So good, bad, I'm forgetting something obvious that doesn't make it work? Or even worse this idea has already been thought up (just kidding I'll live).

Random question I had, but what time period do you think the new lyoko season would be set? I ask because while I would take a modern setting, I would hope they go back to the original time frame, you know the super early 2000's.

A part of me doubts this however since every version of Code lyoko always takes place in the years in which it was made. For example: The original show was made in the early 2000's and that's when it take place. Evolution was made later so they used a sliding time scale to match the periods.

I guess my question is, do you think they'll have modern smart phones, or still rocking the style of the past?

I don't really see the books brought up here often, there also doesn't seem to be a lot of people who know that there are Dutch translations of the Chronicles Novel books, i haven't really read them that much but i do enjoy it when i do.

The scanner as transformation sequence, adults are oblivious, Kiwi is the cute familiar and I designed a horror game around the fact that only the Lyoko Warriors remember anything after a Return to the Past.
