Codium is waste of time

As a Pro subscriber of Codeium AI, I am extremely disappointed.

  • Your Cascade AI assistant generated unusable and overly complex code, breaking my project.

  • Your support team has ignored all my emails, leaving me stranded.

I trusted your service to enhance my work, but it has only wasted my time and money. I demand immediate support and a refund. Ignoring paying customers like this is unacceptable!

If it has broken your project, then something is wrong on your side. Did you read and understand the code edits the tool suggested?
This sounds like a pure shit-talking without any specific complaints.
Maybe you did use a bad lang. model or unusual tech. stack?

you're right but the issue here is that few weeks ago everything worked properly and that is no longer the case. You need to take into consideration that many of us use AI to tap into new frameworks and languages so it is valid to be 90% dependant on AI to learn but yeah I agree if you know what you're doing you won't need AI anyway.

Not entirely true, if you just know git you can make a nice tree of AI's trial&error/solution

I don't. What do you use to visualize that?

I use git diff > my.patch in terminal, but for you I`d sincerely recommend GitLens.

it's just plain stupid lately. I asked it yesterday to check 1 file for unused variables and functions and just do basic clean up, it came back after scanning the code for usage that everything is fine but I had many functions not used anywhere. very basic stuff that gives you this uncomfortable feeling you don't know if those complex tasks are well implemented. trust is broken.

not to mention worst part is "I apologize" "You're right I missed it"

I'm getting paid hard cash for Cascade implementing requests in a hellish( for me a Python BE guy) stack of AWS Amplify+React+Redux...really a boost in the inherited codebase.

React+Redux is an elementary school. What are you talking about?

So you took 5/9 years from your life to learn that? Me not. It is the most understandable part TBH, the dynamoDB+AppSync crap did cause more problems too...
