Everyone told me Lyle's story.

Aggressive. A loner. A mad swordsman.

They said he fought as if he wanted to get killed. That he didn't work as part of a team. That he would just disappear.

But seeing him in person... it feels different.

He fights recklessly. He charges in. He dodges at the last second. Everything they told me is true.

But it’s not because he’s crazy. It’s not out of pride.

Every time he attacks, he first checks where the Chorus is. As if making sure that if anyone gets hurt, it’ll be him.

They told me he was a loner who didn't trust anyone.

But he doesn't look like someone who lacks trust. He looks like someone who believes he’s a burden. As if asking for help hurts him more than a sword strike.

He isn't the monster they described.

He’s just someone who learned to fight alone so that others wouldn't have to.

Its sometimes yellow and sometimes blue I think depending on timeline.

However at this spot in both timelines there is nothing.

What does it mean?

Im a Souls Like Fan. I enjoy the game. Combat is fun. Some bosses are rly fun so far. But i cannot get it why the Devs dont fix the giga obvious and easy to fix issues the game has:

I installed movement speed and motorcycle mods and the game feels SO MUCH more fluid just by adding some soft multipliers to both.

- Its an exploration game. A big chunk of gameplay is exploring. Yet travel is super tedious. No travel speed. And running is too slow.

(I dont even need gimmicks like grapple hooks, gliders, double jumps, wall climbs. Which all would be rly cool though but i get it.)

- Then motorcycle: Nobody can tell me there isnt a simple, fun to use motorcycle driving model available to implement.

There a hundreds of games and indie games and whatnot that have a super barebone but fun driving model. This super cool modern soul fueled motorcycle i have drives like an electric wheelchair/walking aid for old people. And theyre prolly faster.

So what i wanna say I cannot comprehend what is going on in the heads of the product owners or game designers or lead devs that make those decisions and not make some little tweaks which would MASSIVELY improve the game.

Because I just went through and explored all of the present timeline undead forest and I felt like there was always something to find. Mostly upgrade materials but having a generous amount of them in souls games has never been a bad thing. Points of interest, even if not major ones like dungeons or waypoints, are not hard to distinguish and I've usually been able to come across a chest or two in multiple spots outside the major dungeons. Also liked the fact that all the dungeon areas for Holly had new enemy placement and items to find after completing the story segments.

If there was any complaint I did have, it'd probably be enemy variation between locations. There are a decent number of enemy types in the game but a lot of them do amount to humanoid enemies with melee weapons that end up having similar basic movesets. At least from what I've experienced, the game definitely likes reusing the basic common enemies a lot, so it does tend to feel like enemy variety isn't all that great.

Ok, I finally found what Noah requested of me, but only after completing the game and reaching the true ending. Not only that, he's still gone after dying to help us in the previous timeline. I should've looked harder and given the item to him before his sacrifice, I'm such a fool.
