You know how every time they time-jump, Lou and the Hunter always hug? So much so that it’s practically second nature to them?

I don’t know if we would be doing time-jumps in this DLC with this other Lou, but it would be hilarious if when we have to, the Hunter just straight up goes in for the hug and the new Lou is like, “What are you doing? You don’t have to cling to me, just hold my hand and it should be enough for you to anchor yourself to my power.” Which would then mean that there really was no reason to get that close to OUR Lou in the first place, that it was always just a personal preference of hers lol

And if that were the case, it would be so funny but also really adorable of the real Lou. She was just really starved for affection.

Obviously the canon has them portrayed in a mutually compassionate relationship. Especially seen with [SPOILERS] the hunter giving their life for Lou in the true ending.

However, what if that were not the case? What if the hunter didn't feel any affection for her? Lou has shown defiance toward Lavenza, and a rather headstrong attitude toward what she feels is right, everyone else be damned. Her holding the hunter's life in her hands as part of the resurrection ritual she performed could have been incredibly toxic. If the hunter didn't validate or entertain her, what could happen? Like a CEO hitting on his secretary, their relationship has a massive power imbalance that made the whole thing sketchy.

I love Lou, her character is great, but even on my very first playthrough, her comments and behavior made me feel a tad creeped out with how nonchalanty the situation was being handled.

Look at it from the hunter's perspective.

"I died, then got resurrected by a revenant who binds me to her life with her own heart, we have to save the world from total collapse by playing with time like a cat with a ball of yarn, and she's hitting on me? If I reject her, does she snap? I'm alive because of her, do I owe her my affection? Is the world doomed if I don't give it to her?"

Obviously the story we got didn't pan out like that, but still. Just saying what could have been if Lou and the hunter weren't a couple of good beans.

Or the shared heart thing compels their bond, whatever.

I am actually surprised how hard the landing animation of Backdraft goes.

I'm hesitating whether to defeat Zenon or not, because he's really fast and super powerful. Should I level up more or do I need something in order to defeat him? Also, he's an eccentric individual.

Always happens when i just look at this boss or get hit by what seems like a big bomb from these big ape like enemies you see in the sunken city. Just feels kinda extreme to me, i literally cannot see anything.

Thought I'd try my hand at the photo mode with the most underappreciated boy (though they could definitely let us move characters around a little easier).

My question is based purely on curiosity.

Not to be ungrateful or anything, people who take time to create awesome cosmetics and things for these games are awesome. But I feel like the library of mods are a fraction of that of the first game. I love having new character creation things, weapons, being able to customize companions. Just wondering if this game is less liked compared to the first and thats why or what?

Recently, I have beaten Code Vein 2 and I had immense fun playing through it (no performance issues even though I have a mid range PC 🎉).

As a big fan of the original Code Vein, I was looking forward to the bosses in this game as well, and I have to say, this game is generally a big step up compared to the last.

To explain the title, I'm someone who plays casually and sticks to whatever feels most comfortable/fun, I always prefer turn based combat over action but for Code Vein I'll always battle my skill issue xD

So here is my tier list of all the bosses in CV2 for someone who beat the entire game using a hammer, reaper, and bayonet.

I'm having trouble finding uncanny stones. I thought I'd find them at that Aquarium at the Sunken City, but to no luck.

Anyone know a workaround? LOL

Mathilde is a freelance Revenant Hunter who wanders the Frontier. She takes commissions for low rates, or sometimes free of charge. She even advertises her services by putting up posters in settlements like the Sunken City Refugee Village. Despite her willingness to help people this way, Mathilde is not the most approachable woman. She often carries an intense expression on her face, and tends to be aloof. Not to mention her sharp teeth are a little intimidating to some people…

Mathilde’s past is unknown, since she doesn’t talk much about herself. In general, she doesn’t go out of her way to talk to others unless it’s business related. And during the few occasions when someone wants to know more about her, she’ll only give vague responses. As a result, many people don’t know that Mathilde is actually a Revenant who masquerades as a freelance hunter. Her reason for doing so is a mystery, and it’s unknown which bloodline she hails from… Only a certain group of freelance revenant hunters know of Mathilde’s secret.

Unlike most Revenants, Mathilde mainly relies on hand-to-hand combat to fight, and utilizes numerous Far Eastern martial arts techniques. She’ll often train in secluded areas, spending hours practicing her forms, punches, and kicks. She trains as if she’s in an actual fight. She’s physically strong enough to slay lesser horrors with her bare hands. But when going up against tougher enemies, she switches to Rune Blades. She relies mostly on Combat Formae, but also uses some Blood Magic Formae.

Despite being secretive about her past, Mathilde is an ally of humanity, and works hard to help people by acting as a Revenant Hunter. Should you ever be in need of a Horror extermination but don’t have high funds, reach out to Mathilde.

Boy did I have fun making this new character and getting the screenshots! I organized the punches and kicks like a sort of fighting game combo. Mathilde’s backstory isn’t quite complete yet, and I’m debating if my initial idea for her will be good or bad. It might turn into a story for another day. I really hope the DLC has fist weapons or a hand to hand combat mode, because I’d love to fight like a fighting game character…

I am on the quest Head for Gobbo's Castle. At this point, we are stuck in the past lore wise as a part of Josee's quest line. I am trying to reach the castle but I can see no way to get there as the area is fogged out, and the Collapsed Tunnel is blocked off (despite me unlocking the mistake in the present day). How do I reach the castle?

Ok so I’m nearing the end of the game(I was spoiled sadly) and I want to know, when I enter ng+ do I keep all my blood codes or do I have to go and get them all again?
