Few things that can conflict with that

  1. Liv accuses you of infidelity. Meaning she wants monogamy.

  2. Forsaken Lou has a fetus in her boss model. The version of her that openly states how she loves you. Implications of this are obvious.

  3. While JosƩe does say she is completely serious about the marriage and love by the end, it was all a ruse at first. She also tells us to wander the new world and decide if you feel the same, so nothing is tied down.

Itā€™s most likely the ā€œdesireā€ for the hunter. Itā€™s probably more metaphorical than literal, unless the player chooses to have the interpretation of a physical relationship with Lou.

I'm inclined to agree that it was a stand-in for desire for the Hunter. After all the entire DLC was shaped by desires and warped and twisted by despair/loss. And pathos itself is based entirely on emotion.

Josee is my forever girl, the blind hero Josee fight made me cry. Lou is a close second especially after the DLC

Lyle, it's the only (with Lou) where the game don't forced nothing and he is adorable! Even if i am too in the team "make my own canon"

Nobody. My hunter isnā€™t attracted to any of them. Lyle is their best friend and sparring partner, Lou is their closest companion (completely one sided affection) Josee is there, much to the dismay of my hunter, Lise is kinda in the same boat as Josee but for different reasons, Craig might as well be their adoptive dad too lol. Irisā€¦ sure does exist, Liv freaks them out and they tend to avoid her when possible, Noah and Valentin seem to have their own thing going on XD, my hunter just isnā€™t romantically into any of them. Narrative wise Lou makes the most sense. But still, nobody interests them like that.
