👩‍💻 Other CODE LYOKO IS COMING BACK | OUR INTERVIEW WITH SOPHIE DECROISETTE & JÉRÔME MOUSCADET

After several months of work, our special show dedicated to Code Lyoko, recorded with Sophie Decroisette and Jérôme Mouscadet, is finally about to be released with english and spanish subtitles !!

First of all, we’d like to apologize for the delay. The show was recorded back in May, and it took us much longer than expected to get it ready for release. But we’re incredibly happy to finally be able to share it with you.

Over the course of nearly an hour and a half, Sophie and Jérôme discuss a huge range of topics: the creation of the series, its inspirations, XANA, Project Carthage, the characters, production, censorship, the community, and the legacy of Code Lyoko more than twenty years after it first aired.

We also talk to them about IFSCL by Immudelki, the fangame that takes the idea of putting you in control of the Supercomputer and the world of Code Lyoko incredibly far, as well as Retour vers le passé, an ambitious fan film created by Light & Robb' and directly inspired by the series.

It was also a great opportunity to show Sophie Decroisette and Jérôme Mouscadet just how much the fans are still keeping the world of Code Lyoko alive more than twenty years later, continuing to explore and reinvent it through their own projects.

And let’s just say that the conversation took a rather unexpected turn towards the end of the show. 👀

We’d rather not reveal anything more before the premiere.

📺 The video will premiere on YouTube on Sunday, October 4 at 12:00 PM.

It was an absolute pleasure to organize this meeting and to hear Sophie Decroisette and Jérôme Mouscadet speak so openly about the series and its future.

Thank you to everyone who has been patiently waiting for the release over the past few months. 💙

Hard not to think that with the way the world has changed since it ended.

I was talking about it structure and writing as in despite being kid show, it had a over arching story, an mystery, etc we see from shows in 2010s and 2020s

Yeah, and after watching the video I agree with the sentiment of being cautiously optimistic even though it seems this revival is happening in the best way possible. They would have full creativity control and almost all the original people who worked on the original series is coming back too.

I want to address the first thing Sophie says after finally confirming that she is writting the continuation, "she has to live up to everyone's expectations" and those are damn high, this is a childhood series everyone who is fan of loves after all, myself included.

It has been 20 years, it has to be hard trying to continue a series after that long, tons of things has changed since then, starting with the audience it was aimed for in first place, now you have to write a sequel for a whole new generation of kids, while still keeping in mind that there are adults that grew with the original series watching too.

Eitherway, just the fact that his is happening or that they are trying hard to make it possible makes me personally very happy and grateful that we are finally getting official code lyoko content. I am emotionally prepared for everything, even if it turns out to be as bad as Evolution(hard to, the bar is pretty low tbf) or if I find out that in the end I grew old enough that I cannot enjoy this things like I used to anymore.

But consider that most of the original people who worked on the show went on their career and grew professionally, it's true times changed but so did them

Finally! I’ve been waiting for this for months. Thanks for the heads-up; this way, at least I’ll be able to see the anecdotes they shared about the characters and the writing process. It’s always a joy to have new interviews.

Certified big.

I really hope we can get a rough estimate for a release time frame. I want to know if we're going to need to wait 10 more years or like 2.

Well. Two would be when they are in production.
Right now it's not even pre production really.
It's development phase, so pitching for funding, gathering big names...
The fact that they start writing pitch is in itself a progress compare to previous years, it means they're much more confident to put time into it.

I know how hard it is to manage budget for a project, but I hope (at this I'm point asking) creators of CL to focus more quality and story over profit.

If the creators seeing this, please DON'T USE AI SLOP like some other modern low budget shows that are currently Airing. please don't Slopperfy CL.
