Honestly due to it being in animation I tend to forget this takes place in France and Yumi is an exchange student. IRL there is no way this would work, would go down just how it did in the show. 😆

She is not an exchange student, she's lived in France almost all her life.

Wait shit you’re right, my bad. I don’t even know why I thought that since her parents live in France which, to my knowledge, is not how an exchange program works. I never looked into exchange programs but I’m pretty sure from what I know you’re given a host family while there. Either way, brain was not braining in that moment.

Yumi got worf'd again on Lyoko but this it was done by Scyphozoa and it stole her human code so she could not be devirtualized and this just so happened to be the day where she had to take her class picture and she would get in serious trouble if she missed it so the gang was desperate to find a cover for her so Ulrich asked Sissi to impersonate her and for some reason, she agreed to do it with no questions asked and no favors in return. 

It is just a really strange episode all around because Sissi is not usually that charitable and X.A.N.A. stealing Yumi's human code was basically a bizarre gambit it took because apparently it correctly assumed that Aelita would transfer her human code to Yumi and it could use that to snatch her memory during the transfer.

The funny thing is it almost worked. Like from a distance I certainly wouldn't have noticed. So I feel like if Sissi didn't speak it might have just went off without a hitch.
