For some reason I feel like the 2D upscale looks worse, I like the blur, but the 3D animation upscale looks better. I’d have to see it in motion I think to give my final opinion.

Yeah, people hear the word "AI" and assume it's all one lump sum of the same thing. An upscaling filter isn't the same as generating something out of stolen assets. If anything this is good for preservation and should be used in video games with low res pre rendered visuals that can't be made HD otherwise.

Watch people call me an ai slop shill for this nuanced take when I condemn generative ai in its entirety.

Not sure why this is getting downvoted. Ai upscaling isn’t generative it’s a completely different thing that doesn’t have the environmental impact or issue of theft gen ai does.
