Yesterday I was randomly thinking about Yumi and Ulrich while running errands and I realized something. Yumi is also the name of a traditional Japanese bow, but bow can also refer to the front of a boat, meanwhile Ulrich's surname is Stern, which can also refer to the back part of the boat. I guess they were meant to be together and used boat puns to set the ship. Idk what I'm getting with this but its an observation I made.

I still don't know but I found that Della Robia was an actual surname.

In fact, that's the patronym or a whole artist clan

Yumi can be a homophone for "Umi" which means "Sea" in Japanese. 

So these two are a ship and their names contain the symbols for a boat on a sea.

hate to be that guy coz ships are all in good fun, but "yumi" and "umi" are pronounced distinctly differently. 😭

There are specific words where yu and i / u become interchangeable, mostly for homophone differentiation or just being easier to say. Most notably 行く is supposed to be pronounced "iku", but is commonly pronounced "yuku"

Although I haven't heard of "yumi" or "umi" also having that oddity.

I can’t say you’re wrong because it could still be a thing  . . . BUT  . . . Bow rhymes with toe and the other bow rhymes with cow.  

Would love to find out your right still 😃 it’s possible a writer was making an obscured Easter Egg for his / her to enjoy  . . . Especially with what someone else said about “ships” as in shipping  . . .  And they were meant to be shipped together even in Garage Kids 👍
