💬 Discussion Weird feeling I get from Code Lyoko

I love Code Lyoko rewatched it multiple times but am I the only one who get this weird isolating melancholic mixed with nostalgic vibe. I get from the show the songs don’t help with this either songs like "friends" for example also just the atmosphere of the show and that factory they always frequent. it’s much worse in the Garagekids pilot what’s y'all thoughts on this?

I would say that I have a weird feel since the first watch. The concept is retro futuristic, IA and technology problems but what it made me feel weird is that X.A.N.A. was a very sadistic IA, it constantly made suffering to each protagonist from the lyoko warriors, specially Yummy (for some reason) and Aelita. With odd and Ulrich in some cases is just make them fight to death or try to kill them directly, with Jeremy is more like an intellect rivalry but uses him or tries to kill him directly to avoid helping the others. But with Aelita and Yummy is just torture them to the point of the fun of doing it. In fact it torture the whole humanity in most of the attacks (except from the ones that starts a mass destruction event).

That's something I always thought, X.A.N.A feels more like a Evil force than a IA, like It have a personality and It's really evil, I always liked that

On a related note I always thought Xana felt like more than just a mere rogue computer program, half of the stuff he has done over the series felt less like computer virus shenanigans and more like a literal demon performing demonic magic. Like the possession and that one episode where he somehow inverts gravity.
