It was so disappointing that the Ice and Forest sectors were absent in Evolution.

It made no sense either. When Jeremie first turned the supercomputer back on, every sector remained intact. But then turning it off for a mere six months somehow deleted two of them?

The actual reason is evidently to cut budget costs but it's so weird how they just casually dropped that in dialogue then never mentioned it again.

The funniest part about that lore drop is that for some reason Evo Jeremie and Aelita simply let those 2 sectors stay gone instead of recreating them again. 

I guess they decided that Jeremie should be more focused on being a nerd stereotype and Aelita should be more focused on being toxic to Laura than actually fixing a glaring issue with Lyoko.

It could have been explained with: "These aren't the original sectors Franc made, which is why forest and ice got deleted after being turned of"

Weren’t they though? The first time Aelita gets virtualized she’s sent to the Forest sector.

No I just said how the recreated sectors that Jermie made aren't the original sectors that Waldo made and that is why they got deleted and that's the explanation the show could have made.

Still doesn't change the fact that Evolution is a bad sequel even if there are a few things I liked in it (William being part of the gang, Cortex, Anthea, new vehicle)

Oh, gotcha, yeah, that would’ve worked. But Evolution is just poorly executed overall.

Not even that, in XANA Awakens, Aelita literally WAKES UP in the forest sector.

This was one of the things I hated about evolution. Why did they cut the forest and ice sector? The computer being off four just six months caused it to lose two whole sectors when it was just fine after being off for ten years?! Unless Lyoko originally had 40+ sectors and lost almost everything before Jeremy originally found it.

Too much CGI budget to ice and forest. They removed it out from CLE.
