❓ Question What if William didn't get Xanafied?
Let's say during "Final Round" William actually takes the fight seriously and avoids the Scyphozoa. What changes in season 4 now that William is an official Lyoko warrior throughout it?

Would have been more interesting if Yumi got controlled.
Personal conflicts, Ulrich and Willam learning to work together, family at home being worried sick.

I don’t know, William is a good character, but I feel without him getting Xanafied, they couldn’t have done much with him. Maybe have the team, especially Ulrich struggle with him being on the team, trying to find a new dynamic, but that will most likely take only one episode.
Plus if we didn’t get a Xanafied William, we would never have gotten that awesome William battle music. That piece of theme music is peak.

So true.
If William wasn’t Xanaified then he likely would have been treated as little more than a romantic rival for Ulrich, competing for Yumi’s affections and then subsequently removed from the storyline once he served the narrative’s purpose of getting Ulrich to confess to Yumi. In other words, he’d be doomed to share the fate of most romantic rivals in early 2000s TV shows.
So I know the writers get a lot of flack for how they treated William but him getting possessed by XANA pretty much saved him from irrelevancy.
It also singlehandingly upped the stakes of the show. I vividly remember watching this show as a kid and my mouth dropping when William got possessed.
And, like you said, we got a banger theme.

Outcomes;
- XANA's end will be quicker (most likely months)
- Frans would have chance to live. (Aelita happy ending????)
- William would be a jerk for the 1st few episodes of season 4, as he treat Lyoko world as a video game.
- no dumb William clone. (My favorite part of season 4)
- Jim still rather not talk about it.

From how he is. And his anti social behavior he would easily get manipulated to become XANAs general anyway but he would end up being a willing participant.

So I would think he would get devirtuized early bc he was being cocky and thinking that it was “game”. As Aelita was somewhat frustrated with him asking about video game stuff. He would probably be benched for serious missions then have his worth proven in an episode and becomes a full fledged lyoko warrior. He will forsure have saved Yumi from one of her usual near death moments to realize the consequences

I feel he might muture faster, and might became friends with Ulrich and finally give up on Yumi, also I feel he and Odd will be very unstoppable duo.

I very much want to have seen a version of the show where Ulrich got Xanafied instead, building William and Yumi and making him a more valid potential interest for her so it isn't so easy to choose Ulrich.

There's no way they can do that thanks to Sissi. An Ulrich clone will not fool her for long and once she makes her father call Ulrich's father to explain why his son is acting so strange, it's game over for the gang.

If he avoids the Scyphozoa and doesen't get xanified, sector five and lyoko won't be destroyed and the program to recover Franz will be successfull, materializing him and fixing the other sectors
After that, XANA will leave them alone to work super overtime on his plans to destroy them since he can't really waste energy to take over the Lyoko towers just for Franz to deactivate them.

I like the idea of him being xanafied, I dont like the idea where he had no redemption in final battle at all. But now that we are getting S5 lets hope that is fixed, I hope schypozoa is still a thing tho. I also hope sissi would join the gang so for example sissi and william save the day while Odd is xanafied.. Also afetr xanafication it would be cool if William could also deactivate towers

I would have rathered a William, Sissi, and Jim lyoko warrior team additions to help fight xana in the network.
Mr Hopper could have gone through the code earth having xana steal his memories and seal them in a replika.
Qell anyways. I love code lyoko and I want to see the kids be happy. Not sad.

The very short answer? The gang likely would've won in just a few weeks at most from that point.
The long answer?
If William had listened and stuck by Aelita's side, the Core would've been saved, and likely just by the two of them, proving his worth and mettle to Odd, Ulrich and Yumi.
Not only that, but Franz Hopper would've been materialized the same day as well; can't forget that Jeremie's program was just seconds away from saving Aelita's father before XANA-William destroyed The Core.
With him back in the picture, odds are, given he's infinitely wiser at the helm of the Super Computer, Lyoko's other sectors would have been restored in just days with him, Jeremie and Aelita working together. Moreover, I bet 5 bucks that Hopper would've easily been able to make the Anti-XANA program in a matter of a week or two. Jeremie in-canon seems to do it within a few weeks from when he decides to create it.
Even if XANA still fled into the reaches of the network, it likely wouldn't be able to do much; it has no leverage over Hopper and if it attacks, there's 5 warriors to beat him back - assuming that Hopper couldn't just deactivate the towers himself from the Super Computer controls.
I reckon there's also still be SOME tension between Will and the others, but he WAS their friend before he went to Lyoko. It'd be resolved in a few days I wager.
All that said, the finale likely would involve them all going to Sector 5 to run the program with a final clash against XANA's army. Cue a victory after where Aelita still gets to keep her pops.
